Pearl Going is a Faker, Ctd

Timaru Herald

Regular readers will know that I have been calling out Pearl Going as a faker for quite some time. The little faker once tried to sue me, but as with everything she does she failed at that too. She managed to con Pork Chop as well.

Recently she has been conning local news outlets to publish her fake attempt at being the first NZ woman to ascend the highest mountain on each of the seven continents. She has even managed to con some sponsors.

They can all save their money now as she wasn’t the first. That title goes to Timaru mountaineer Christine Burke (our Face of the Day)

Timaru mountaineer Christine Burke has become the first New Zealand woman to climb the highest mountain on each of the seven continents.

Ms Burke completed her seventh summit on Europe’s highest peak, Mt Elbrus on Wednesday.

Her feat comes almost 22 years after the late Rob Hall became the first New Zealand man to complete the climbs in a record time of just under seven months with his climbing companion, the late Gary Ball.

Based on seven summits records, she is the third fastest woman in the world to complete the feat out of 30 on the list.

Pearl’s sponsors can save their cash and she can stop spruiking her unbelievable bullshit to local papers. I wonder when Wikipedia is going to pull her sponsor-fest self written page?

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.
