Pod Members Wanted

Things are getting a bit hectic around here. I have a couple of trips planned and am looking for some down time as I do some other projects.

So I am seeking two interns/curators to help with searching the web for smart nuggets, helping out with administrative crap, working on larger projects, and guest-blogging when I need a break or go hunting.

Unfortunately at this stage they will be voluntary positions.

I am looking for hardworking self-starters, web-obsessives and Whale-heads, who already understand what I do here and am about.

I also prefer individuals who can challenge me and my assumptions, find stuff online that I have probably missed, and shape the blog with his or her own personal passions.

This is also a pretty unbeatable opportunity to learn what running a top blog is like. And a sense of humor is an asset.

To apply, please e-mail a (max 500-word) cover letter explaining why you are a good fit for me and a resumé to the tipline.

The cut off for applications is Monday, July 23.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him, you can’t ignore him.
