The Huddle at 1740

I am on the Huddle again tonight with Susan Wood and Josie Pagani.

Our topics are:

  • The Beast of Blenheim.  The local Mayor doesn’t want him back in the area. But where can he go?  No one will want him living in their community. Hmmm..rope…wonky stool…
  • Marriage Equality debate… A wonky website to protect the current definition of marriage as ‘one man one woman’ has been launched today.  It’s lobby group Family First’s response to Labour MP Louisa Wall’s private members bill which seeks to redefine marriage to allow gay couples to wed.
  • Graham Henry – new book out with claims of match-fixing.  Will it sell books?  He’s making himself very unpopular in the Northern Hemisphere. But frankly, who cares about what whinging poms have to say.
  • Olympics. YAWN.

You can tune in through normal methods or listen to the live stream.

As usual I will post the audio tomorrow.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him, you can’t ignore him.
