A fair days wage for a fair days work

When did Labour forget that this is what it stands for?

The current Labour Party stands for a fair days wage for a fair days bludge. They back just about every bludger they can think of, beneficiaries, maoris, poofters, bureaucrats and the arts lobby, and expect the bloke who is doing the fair days work to kick in more than his fair share in taxes to fund the bludgers.

Labour would be scary if they got their heads around this, and started telling some of the bludgers to bugger off. It is not just because it is the right thing to do, it is the politically savvy thing to do too, as it will take a lot of Waitakere man back from National, and National is never going to pick up the bludger lobby anyway.

I agree, WO, but they will **never** do this.
The bludgers are now their core constituency (and have been for ages).
If Labour told them to bugger off, they would stagger their way along to the Mana party.

If Labour told them to bugger off

then Key would have the numbers to stop the Dole. Codger-dole, WFF, WQC, ACC, and all the rest overnight – even without ACT or Dunne or Maori party
