Meat eaters outraged at seeing who brings the meat to the plate

There have been two issues of Sidewipe now where they have published photos of working dogs travelling in working conditions.

Townies are predicatably ‘outraged’ and think this is cruel…forgetting how meat actually gets to their table. Look at the dogs in the truck photos…they look like they are enjoying themselves. They certainly are not starving or mistreated. They sure as hell aren’t mooching bludgers like cats.

Some fool townies even equate a working huntaway with some sort of gay lap dog with an equally gay name like Henrietta or Xena. These are working dogs, they live outside, they work outside and they earn their keep. They have names like Bruce and Sam and if they don’t work, hunt or be useful in some sort of meaningful way then they get a copper coated lead pill injected at 2500 fps.

They also are not forced into those travelling kennels, they jump in willingly because they know that a short drive down the road they get to jump out and teach stupid sheep or cattle a thing or two.

These are first world problems that people are getting upset about. Worse that newspapers rile people up to be ‘outraged’ about shit like this.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
