Shearer’s story has now changed

Last night Labour was claiming the video was taken on an internal GCSB camera:

According to Labour’s GCSB sources, the quip was captured on an internal GCSB camera.

Today, Shearer is claiming it was a staffer video, that the GCSB has destroyed in a cover up.

This interview is incredibly bad… David Shearer hasn’t got any evidence, this is worse than Trevor Mallard making shit up. He has changed his story. He is now accusing the Director of the GCSB of deleting evidence and lying.

It is worse because David Shearer and Labour have now politicised the GCSB in a terrible manner. He has revealed that our spies are leaking to political parties, that is a terrible development for our society.

David Shearer simply can’t be trusted now on national security matters. Neither can the GCSB be trusted because Labour moles in the department are breaking the GCSB ACt 2003 by even speaking with Labour.

Russel Norman needs to be laying a complaint with the Police over this just like he did before.

The fact that a political party has sources inside GCSB suggest that the agency is hopelessly compromised both politically and in terms of national security.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.
