The Diary of Comrade Kate, Ctd

I hate Mondays. Another bloody boring meeting with 19 bloody tories. Had to bite my tongue when we got a lecture about economic development from that smarmy bastard Joyce, he and the boss are selling out our union comrades to Hollywood moguls. Bloody crony capitalists.

Had a major dust up with Adams and Carter, bloody blue bloods want to socialise farming without giving the workers any protection. Water is owned by the people, not by a few wealthy land owners. Wasn’t making much progress so will call Helen to get her to start campaigning against crony capitalism. She is such a saint, always willing to help with my crusades in such troubling times.

Big Gerry was watching me like a hawk at the post meeting lunch, I still managed to sneak a few pies into my handbag. Have locked them in my ministerial bathroom and will take the to food bank tonight.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
