The math just got impossible for Romney

Republican leaning site RealClearPolitics has called New Hampshire for Obama, moving him to within one electoral college vote of the required 270.

Mitt Romney cannot win even if he gets all of the remaining tossup states. He is sitting on 191 and there are only 78 remaining. This leaves him one short even if he beat the odds and won all the toss up states. The toss up states are:

Colorado (9)
Florida (29)
Iowa (6)
Nevada (6)
North Carolina (15)
Virginia (13)

Romney is trailing in Florida badly, which sinks him totally but also in Iowa and Virginia. Romney cannot possibly win all of the remaining toss up states and pull some back from Obama’s side of the ledger. He needs Israel to go to war and someone to shoot Obama for him to have a chance.

I might start asking readers for suggestions for which restaurant Leighton Smith should take me to for our lunch bet.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
