It was the best of years and the worst of years

This year has been pretty tumultuous. But as it draws to a close I can say it has definitely been the worst of years and the best of years.

Most of the year has been spent building on successes of past years….and also quietly supporting Mum as she got more and more tired, and in September sicker and sicker.

On the day that Mum died, Dad said to me that night before we turned in that this year has been the worst year of his life…I stopped and thought…and yes I couldn’t think of a worse year. He had lost his life partner and I had lost my Mum…it doesn’t get much worse than that. Even in my darkest days of depression I have never felt as awful as I did that day.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him, you can’t ignore him.

Hillary Clinon – via MSNBC

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was admitted to a New York hospital Sunday after the discovery of a blood clot stemming from the concussion she sustained earlier this month.

Clinton’s doctors discovered the clot Sunday while performing a follow-up exam, her spokesman,Philippe Reines, said. He would not elaborate on the location of the clot but said Clinton is being treated with anti-coagulants and would remain at New York-Presbyterian Hospital for at least the next 48 hours so doctors can monitor the medication.

Piers Mortally Wounded in Jesse Ventura Shootout

Once again Piers Morgan wades in neck deep into a debate he is ill equipped for against an opponent far superior to him in the debate concerning gun control in the United States. In a recent debate with former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, Morgan starts sinking deeper over his head debating the place of the Second Amendment in the US constitution. But credit where credit is due: he at least maintained his integrity in this debate, Read more »

Because Scott needs a little help from his friends

Scott Yorke needs a little help from his friends

…he is worried his blog stats will fade away as the year draws to a close.

Here’s a few things you can do to help:

  • Sit on one of my blog pages and keep pushing the refresh button. Until midnight.
  • Tell everyone on Twitter and Facebook that I need their help. Direct them to one of my blog pages.
  • Make a banner displaying my blog address, and hang it over the side of a motorway overbridge.
  • Blog about my blog. Lie if necessary. People are more likely to visit my site if they think it will help to sate some of their most savage and depraved lusts.

I’m sure you can come up with more creative ways to help. Just do what you can, and do it now, because December is almost over.

I can do better than that Scott…your post of yesterday was superb, so I will give you two links.
