Guns Are The Best Deterrent

Crime doesn’t pay, especially on the end of a shotgun as one dumb crim has found out.

This is the moment a furious homeowner armed with a shotgun caught a serial burglar carrying away his neighbor’s 47-inch flat-screen TV.

The alleged burglar, Gilbert Nunez, 27, had broken into Paul Cavazos’ condo building in San Antonio, Texas, at least twice before – including once when he stole a laptop from Mr Cavazos’ home while his girlfriend was home.

In December, when Nunez allegedly carried off another TV that belonged to Mr Behrens, Mr Cavazos’ girlfriend called police to report that he was still in the neighborhood.

Mr Behrens said it took 30 minutes for officers to arrive and by that time, Nunez was gone.

When Mr Cavazos and his girlfriend came home from an office party on Saturday and saw the thief trying to sneak off with a neighbor’s television in broad daylight, he was ready.

‘I grabbed my shotgun. You know, I’ve been thinking about this for a long time,’ he toldĀ KSAT-TV.

A surveillance camera on the front of Mr Cavazos’ home captured the drama of what happened next. – source

Of course while being a good deterrent, sometimes executive action has to be taken to make an armed offender more civil:

I reckon this guy would probably rather let someone steal a tv than lose his son.

Yep, because sons come in with a knife and a balaclava in the middle of the night, and don’t say “its me dad”, instead they go to attack him?

      Totally normal.

  • Yes!

Warning shot ,dead centre, instant compliance. NZ cops need this guy as an instructor.

That’s what every armed robber deserves.
