  • They would have done better to serve free beer.

  • No, Cam, that’s not fair. I was told that photo was taken at a very specific time, when the crowd had moved away for a minute or two. Apparently DPF had jogged past, and everyone just kind of had to let the air clear before joining back in the protest.

You are kidding! They are experts. The stands and the hills in the distance would have been covered with cheering crowds. Only the most inquisitive would notice that everyone in the multitude looks exactly the same. Compared to the Iranians this is amateur hour. Look there is no plane. Enough said.

bloody vandals….this is the sort of thing we have to put up with every day since Labour became Government…

  • StupidDisqus

    Cops. Glocks. Problem solved.

    • StupidDisqus

Its pretty sad when even the career protesters, that hypocrite minto and his mates, dont even bother fronting to support the cause.

  • 1 letter to an Mp = 100 who could not be bothered.

If we apply similar logic (and I don’t know the ratio here), means while a whole lot of people don’t like asset sales it is really not that high on the pain scale. They have more important things to worry over.

Labour should pick something which resonates more with the public, housing prices might work.

Duncan Garner, bless his red soul has hit the jackpot and red billy english has taken over the reins.Lifting the minimum wage is a winner. The government rearranging 5 % of it’s assets at any one time is prudent asset management. The green and labour party come across as being economically illiterate in their publicity drive to garner the votes of the financially illiterate voters.

  • Phar Lap

Creepy crawley Wellingtons ex London born taleban green mayor was there .On full pay of course.

    • sandynobb

Celia Wade-Brown is a hypobitch. She has hired a CE who privatises services.

  • i hear they sold out of tofu burgers and soy sausages

    • Agent BallSack

an 18 pack of soy sausages just doesnt go as far as it used to

  • Michael

It’s not like it wasn’t publicised either – there have been signs up all over town and plenty of Wellington media coverage. No doubt TV3 will use clever camera angles to make it look like there were more than 10,000 there…

    • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Actually 10,000 were there Michael bro. You can’t hide the truth

  • starboard

smelly hippies and beatniks with greasy dreadlocks…greens voting base…fuck I hate the greens..

    • Lofty

Call em greens if you want green light…me I prefer to call em filthy commie liars.

      • starboard

yeah my bad…pinkos would have sufficed..

        • blokeintakapuna

          Yoghurt-weaving crystal-spinners also has a nice ring to it…

  • The Greens have just released another image of the event…exclusive to WOBH

    • thats just irresponsible exposing children to that sort of thing. Look at the effect its had or him….her. (another triumph for the greens. androgynous).

    • pukakidon

Even the kids run a mile from these smelly foriegn hippy pricks

    • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

I think a huge crowd of 10,000 has been photoshopped out by WO. This is not fair. Go the Sheep.

  • thor42

Labour just *do not* get it.

I think that most New Zealanders are aware that the so-called “asset sales” are actually sales of a *part* of the assets. Given that, Labour are just flogging a dead horse.
Long may they do so, the fools.

    • Troy

The toxic Greens also don’t get it either. But anyhow they have a grand plan for the economy, it’s just that it doesn’t make sense and won’t work…. most Kiwi’s see them as irrelevant but the danger is if the social engineers of the left get a better vote next time round and the toxic Greens infect the loonies out there, the danger will be Green/Red.

      • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Go the Green/Red combo!! You are a winner under MMP

  • Winnie’s hate speech lives on

Radio claimed 400 protesters were there in force, and that they represented the majority of nz’ers who are opposed to assets sales ! WHAT BS !!

    • thor42

Blimmin’ heck – *North Korea* would have less biased media…..

    • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

I understand it is around 10,000 and they were chanting “David Shearer – save us”

  • Bruno 32

Losers trying to stop capitalism because they missed the boat or scared cos they can’t swim.A bigger worry is that greenpeace boat . Where are the french when you need them ?

  • LesleyNZ

What is the guy with the camera doing? Celia Wade-Brown is behind him. Well she was told not to go.

  • Mr_V4

Clearly not enough mango skins thrown to entice the crowd.

  • johnbronkhorst

they must have run out of money, paying people to collect signatures. Now thwy can’t afford to pay them to show up for the rally.

  • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

I think this is trick photo. The photo shows only the speaker. A huge crowd is sitting and listening to her which is not shown in this photo. According to my spies nearly 10,000 people turned up.

    • Bunswalla

      You have 10,000 spies? Impressive!

    • Mr_Blobby

Is that Trev sitting on the bike, wondering why he can’t get anybody to come to his meetings.

  • David Broome

I see RadioLIVE is saying tyere was a crowd of 400…. Maybe the counted the media.

  • David

The problem is the “protest” was held at the wrong time of the day. If they’d held it around noon attendance would have been far greater. Dole bludgers, sickness beneficiaries, Greenpeace and other activists, government and council bureaucrats, school truants, street kids, Green, Labour, Mana and Maori party members, could have attended. What were they thinking?

    • Mr_Blobby

Was just thinking the same thing. Was it short land street or the Simpsons that was more important.

  • Mr_Blobby

This is what happens when you don’t pay your protesters overtime, they go home.

  • Dumrse

Can’t fucking wait for this to be Waitangi.

  • Hello!

WTF, I was at the rally. You have taken a picture of where no one was sitting, there were close to 2,000 people
