Kiwi Mockumentary about the Gumboot: VIDEO

Yeah, I know they are using blogs to garner some viral traffic, but at least they asked nicely instead of trying to be tricky

Hi Cameron,

Here is the link to a short film that could be a great fit on your blog:

It is a mockumentary about the use of the ultimate Kiwi icon, the gumboot. It features a star studded cast – Melanie Lynskey, Valerie Adams, Colin Meads, Dai Henwood, Steve Wrigley, Denise L’Estrange-Corbet, Beauden Barrett and Kane Barrett.

It premiered at Tropfest NZ, the New Zealand contingent of the largest short film festival in the world, to around 8000 people. I am the writer, director and producer of the film, hope you enjoy viewing it!

Kind regards,

No probs Tess…happy to help, thanks for asking.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.
