Shearer on homophobes and Labour, Robertson will move soon after this balls up

Yesterday Pete George and then David Farrar blogged about David Shearer and his opinion on whether or not homophobes have a place in the Labour party.

Shearer answer…well in between the ums and ahhs…is ummm…well..unequivocal.

Wrong answer Mr Shearer…the correct answer is that there is no room for intolerant and bigoted people of any sort in the Labour party. Whether they are racists or homophobes…no room what so ever.

Shearer strikes again… please Labour, don’t roll him before the next election. I’m keen to see him on the 1-2-1 Leaders debate. Liabour – the gift that just keeps on giving.

Don’t have a problem with what Shearer said. Why is it that one is labelled homophobic just because they don’t agree with gay marriage? Glad there are still some in the Labour Party who don’t agree with gay marriage.

If there’s room for proven liars and gobshytes, there’s room for homophobes

It sounds a dangerous for democracy – that a political party’s members be expected to carry the same beliefs and philosophy – Surely support of a political party’s main policies is what’s important

After listening to that my initial reaction is that is 34 seconds of my life wasted, I will never see those 34 seconds again & during those 34 seconds I learnt and experienced nothing. What a waste.

David Shearer’s the best politician National has got.

Shearer always finds it such a chore to answer questions , even finding it necessary to explain in his answer that homosexual marriage is between two people of the same sex .
His mind seems to work in such a way that he is actually addressing himself when talking to reporters .

Um, um, you know, look, that’s no a, that’s ah, um, but um look you know, you mean you know, ….

Could someone from Labour write a few nouns, pronouns and phrases on Shearer’s palms next time he goes out for an “interview”, with a bit of luck he’ll manage the odd sentence that makes sense.

Charles Chauvel has just resigned from Parliament. Was Shearer’s comments the final straw?

Knowing Charlie Shovel he was pushed….from behind…

      • Dr Wang

He may have been pushed from behind…but he would have been pushing back too.

I think the gay barricade believe their own press and now believe they are some sort of powerful moral and political force, they’re tolerated and that’s about it.

  • J.M

Will never ever be a member of that party but I might say I tolerate homosexuals and no more, why should I, or any member of the labour party for example?

    • StupidDiscus

No one should be a member of the labour party

      • J.M

Hehe. Difficult to argue with that.

Sheep will rise and defeat the Evil Emperor. NZ needs Sheep to save them. In fact I strongly feel that Emperor is shaking in fear that Sheep is getting stronger by the day.
