The New Pope

Morning all.

Bit of a quiet week really, with no major news stories, just the media trying to generate excitement from what they had to work with.   So, this is the chance for you all to talk among yourselves.

  • What’s grinding my gears? Personally I get sick of Holly Walker inferring a;; landlords are cunts and should insulate houses better to prevent the poor wee babbies from getting a chill. As for those numb-nuts on TV#. They should employ journalists. OF course HRV thinks flogging landlords is a good idea because guess who gets the business of drying out the houses.

    • maninblack

i couldnt agree more. Why dont pinkos start buying rentals and doing what they want to them.

    • Morrissey

TV3 DOES employ journalists—many of them are good ones, too. That’s why you are so angry.

      • No, I said they NEED to employ journalists. You know. People who employ their critical thinking skills. You must be mistaking PR skills for journalism.

        • Decent ones, trained and skilled

      • Mostly_Harmless

Yes, we’re angry because TV3 employs good journalists – not because they’re outrageously biased.

    • Phar Lap

That ugly bug only started saying that ,when the mcgillycuddy serious joke “green” party was caught running a nice little scam with taxpayers money, buying Wellington Properties through a trust, and renting them out to their sign wrecking sycophants, etc, etc.

  • maninblack

why cannot the fucking Labour party sort its shit out.. and stop the rise of the greens, as the greens really are a pack of hypocritical cunts.. that will completely fuck this country.

    • Cadwallader

The reason why Labour can’t sort out the Greens is (according to Shearer) “um ah um ah maybe um ah pr’aps um ah.” Does this help?

    • mick le prick

Um um ar ah um cos labour are butch of hypocritical fwits like the Gweens
      and Winston

  • Lofty

WO I do wish you had asked my permission to use my photo in this thread ;-)

  • johnbronkhorst

Q:…Is it hypocritical to not want foreign take up of Mighty River Power shares, when MRP own assets in Chile? Which at my last assessment would make us the “strangers in a strange land?

    • blazer

Chile is a friendly country.Remember the CIA took Allende out when he won the democratic elections and installed human rights criminal Pinochet as their compliant ‘strongman’.

      • YAWN

      • johnbronkhorst

and that has what to do with anything….GIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • blazer

          I thought you mentioned hypocrisy.

          • johnbronkhorst

So you are say the opposite of what we know………that you think….no that would be miracle….maybe you should run for pope.

          • blazer

            translation required .

          • Macca

Jeez Blazer, I bet you’re just the life of every party you go to! After 10 minutes of your poison, every male in the place would be fighting each other for the privilege of taking you outside to give you a good twatting! Life’s not that bad! Most of us (mainly capitalists), really enjoy it! I’ve been working today and I’m still happy – why not try it sometime, you might be surprised!

          • johnbronkhorst

and that sums up your stupidity and lack of understanding!!!

          • landly

He is questioning that you think. His earlier point was, you talk drivel. I think we ought to encourage your chat, because then at least you aren’t writing those dull speeches.

      • Cadwallader

How many years ago was that, or do lefties clocks operate with a forty year delay factor?

        • blazer

the holocaust was even further back in history.Shall we forget about that or pretend it never happened too?

          • johnbronkhorst

            More irrelevant drivel from you!

          • Cadwallader

Ought I return my quite expensive German car on the basis of your question? Looking to the future is never a strong point for the left.

          • blazer

its your own logic that you should consider.

      • landly

The material read by me implicated ITT plus El Mercurio and a couple of other prominent Chilean families. It was accompanied by photographs of memos and letters.
Or is “the CIA” your personal prattcode for “some sort of vaguely capitalist something very likely US”?

  • Pita

Who and why would anyone put Hugo Chavez death notice in today’s Dom Post? No commentary just his name…FFS

    • starboard

      Keith Locke

    • landly

Same person who puts the Elvis one in, August, sometimes, perhaps.

  • Guess who is giving Fisher blowies now:

“As the questions to how Lance Corporal Pralli Durrer and Lance Corporal Rory Malone were killed in the battle at Baghak in August last year get asked, along comes this fascinating leak to the NZ Herald’s best investigative journalist/assassin, David Fisher…”

    and a reach around.

    • Assassin? The only thing that David Fisher assassinates in the NZ Herald’s credibility…

  • Gazzaw

‘In for the LONG HAUL’ – Herald headline pg A9.

Article about the partial selldown of MRP. Clayton Cosgrove is quoted as criticising the scheme as a transfer of wealth from the Government and taxpayer to a relatively small group of New Zealanders.

Well Clayton it makes a great change from the socialist principles currently in place of transferring the wealth from a small number of taxpayers to a relatively large group of New Zealanders (and not all are) under the guise of WFF, interest free student loans and all of the other electoral bribes introduced by the last labour governments.

    • blazer

funny how you arrive at that conclusion gaz.Sam Morgan of TM fame maintains the wealthy like him pay hardly any tax.The GFC caused by the rich has seen the rich get richer.

      • johnbronkhorst

What bollocks….. Since WFF many of these families pay ZERO net Tax, Take home pay for people on less than $50 000 has risen by 20% ie pay less tax But the govt.s tax take from income tax, has risen…..So who prey tell is left to pay tax?

Another way to look at it: The govt. takes in about $160 BILLION in taxes levies etc , with 2 000 000 tax payers that’s about $80 000 per year each….paid your $80k yet?….So who is paying ALL of the tax?

        • Macca

You’re wasting your time on Blazer John. He hasn’t got the intellect to match you, he just goes off on a tangent of mindless, envious drivel – bet the the rest of the left in general really!

        • Mr_Blobby

Borrow like there is no tomorrow.

      • landly

        Your comment is possibly defamatory.
Sam Morgan, or any other rich person, can only know his own tax story. No individual can have correct tax details of other people. Is it your position that he is hacking into the IRD computers, or engaging in similar criminal activities?

        • blazer

is it really? He is on record as saying it.Perhaps you should take it up with him.Careful with that long bow it may spring back and injure you.

  • Hazards001

This load of codswollop wound me up the other day. Halfwit solutions to traffic congestion in Auckland.

1)From the self absorbed that don’t drive trucks or work in shops they want people that do to work different hours to them. (I wonder how they’d like those deliveries if it was in their neighbourhood?)

2)Muppets that want sight screens put up by the cops. Can you imagine it on a windy day a bunch of cops and firemen battling with sight screens to try stop rubber neckers instead of just clearing up the carnage?

3)The halfwitted cycle brigade think that if we let all 200 of them that want to ride to work each day on the motorways that will fix it. They of course will want a lane all to themselves that will be permanently empty just like the bus lanes.

4)My personal favourite the deluded woman that thinks we should throw even more money at fucking consultants.

5)And of course we could stop people parking on the roads all day long. Wonder how long the cafes shops on Ponsonby Road would survive then?

6)We have a bus system that cost a large fortune on the North Shore that no one uses once the few carparks are full as the numbskulls at Transport are determined to force people into cars for their entire journey.

We could have built decent parking buildings and any number of people would have used them and freed up the motorways.

There are plenty of options open to us right now but the bunglers just keep up with the same old lines of drivel. Trainsets and bus lanes. What a load of wank!

    • Len Brown claimed over the injured body of a van driver that trains would have ended the gridlock…so Lenny tell me this…how would trains have helped the residents of the expected 50,000 new homes in Flatbush get home without driving?

The man is a shameless fuckwit who used a rare but serious accident to politic about trains.

      • Hazards001

        I remember it,Len Brown is a…..
On top of which there are a lot of options that are open to all parts of Auckland to reduce the gridlock. Public transport is part of it but the slavish mentality of the man will never concede that there are other ways to reduce the ongoing debacle that is getting around this city. fuck him..he’s an appalling…

      • Gazzaw

And what happens when his trainset malfunctions as it is wont to do on more frequent occasions than a serious motorway holdup.

  • parorchestia

There is no hypocrisy in having MRP invest in Chile as this company has expertise that will benefit Chile greatly, and since NZ has an over capacity it is good for an energy company to hedge its bets by investing in a friendly and hard working country.
It makes me wild when socialists don’t see the huge benefits in free trade and globalisation.
