Shearer’s Dirty Little Secret

Duncan Garner put a few decent questions to Labour Leader David Shearer on his secret offshore bank account on his RadioLive Drive show last night.
David , um, Shearer was at his eloquent best.

Doesn’t know why he hasn’t put his money where his mouth is and invested in New Zealand, doesn’t remember how he was able to fill out tax returns every year and forget the register of pecuniary interests, unable to respond to Garner’s speculation about it being more than $100K.

All in all – classic Mumblef**k.  Leaves more questions unanswered.  This is also um of the day.

This segment picks up from about 1 minute in.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
