    Love it!

  • unsol

Yep, they freak out – at that age who wouldn’t?!

WO as you would obviously know, it is something that is far easier to watch if you are involved whether the spouse or the woman giving birth. And either way, regardless of how the a guy might feel, it is always the hardest on the women!

    • P1LL

I don’t know, stitches in the hand due to nails during hand holding is pretty painful , all done without an epidural (me not her , she had one )

      • unsol

I guess you will never get to find out eh. I have stood on a nail. And torn my ACL – the latter was far worse than childbirth but then I had an easy pretty much painless one…oh & there could the fact that women tend to have higher pain thresholds :)

        • P1LL

I have ruptured my Achilles tendon twice, supposedly the most painful injury,I can tell you that having your hand squeezed in a death grip with nails buried in your hand whilst you are trying to give support is worse , & she had pain killers :P

          • unsol

Yeh I think you win where your spouse is concerned – epidurals take the fun out of it! I’m guessing if she didn’t have one it would have been hell on earth though?

    • Word of warning for those yet to experience this…when asked to help out at the feet end…refuse, stay up by the missus head holding her hands…trust me…oh and that sound the scissors makes…you can NEVER un-hear that EVER.

      • Agent BallSack

Thanks for that Cam, where were you 8 years ago when the doctor handed me the scissors and said you do it!

        • unsol

Oh no way. That is appalling. My midwife was amazing except for the part where she didnt wait for the local to kick in before she started on the stitches!!!

          • Agent BallSack

I was amazed at how tough the umbilical cord actually is, it was like cutting through a garden hose full of blood.

          • unsol

Hubby said the same thing – makes sense though give how vital it is re transfer of nutrients. It’s actually all really cool when you think about it. I loved it. But one was enough – love my free time….clearly! :)

Incidentally our daughter’s cord was only just long enough to come out so midwife had to hold her up while he cut it. Quite freaky actually as everyone knows about cords being too long yet for us, if it had been any shorter we both would have died I was in a small maternity hospital & the helicopter would have been 20 minutes away – ambo was at least an hour to hospital).

      • unsol

So true – ouch for spanishbride!

      • What the hell Cam. You’ve gutted, skinned and prepped animals, and you shy away from an umbilical cord?

        • Guess who did the skinning and gutting on our last family hunting trip? That’s right it was meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee He just wants the fun part.

        • er, they weren’t cutting the cord with those bloody scissors……

          • I am SO glad I’m not a woman.

      • mick le prick

        yeah Cam ya pussy lol
Im gay and i manned up to watch as ive said i couldnt do that shit again lol

      • James Stephenson

Missed out twice ‘cos both mine were c-section (heads too big, where do they get that from?)

Watching the surgeon rummage around in your Missus’ abdomen, chasing what is aparently a baby-shaped bar of soap, is another thing again

        • What about the gear they wear during a c -section. They were dressed like butchers in white aprons and gum boots, joking about whose turn it was to be on the side that would get the most covered in blood. Then they tilt the table on an angle so you feel like you are going to fall off ( because of the epidural which stops you feeling what is under you ) and then as you say, they rummage around inside your abdomen while you frantically tell your husband to look at your face because you are scared that he will pass out at the sight of all the blood. Turns out WO was fascinated and not queasy at all. Still he ended up having his turn being cut with the scissors when he booked himself in for the scalpel less vasectomy LOL

  • Michael

Two men decide to turn gay…

  • johnbronkhorst

    Psychological contraception?

  • cows4me

Yeah freaks you out, seen thousands of births but humans are always accompanied with heaps of noise and a fucking sight more abuse, take my word for it.

    • Travis Poulson

Pity you can’t just shove their head in the head bail, throw the calving jack on and pull it out by the legs.

      • cows4me

Geez Travis where you been, just pull them out with the four wheeler these days.

        • Travis Poulson

Oh for sure, rope around the fence post worked well too. Even used a tree stump once.

          • cows4me

Yeah it’s all being done before but the real secret is to get the cow in trouble in early. I’ve been lucky the last few seasons only had to calf one cow in three years , it’s about animal health and especially the fertiliser used but i bore you. I’ve seen many different types of birth the scariest is your own off spring, I was the fucking scared one, if the missus had got me it would have been all over.

          • Travis Poulson

Herd size dependent also. All the herds I milked ranged 300 -900, more cows more problems. But yes, animal health is a large part of it, and probably stocking rates too. But then so is condition, so many influential factors at calving time. Sometimes the old bags liked to drop in the middle of the night during a snow fall, great stuff.

          • kehua

I only ever had to `pull` maybe 1 or 2 a year out of 600 beef [Angus] cows, it all comes down to management and breeding and having stock in the right condition. I have often wondered how these big, lazy fat assed women get on having natural births, with no muscle tone and so much excess fat etc.

          • Travis Poulson

Dry stock are alot less hassle at calving time than dairy cows, you should take that into account as well. They carry alot more condition so less prone to health problems.

          • kehua

Secret is to twist the rope as much as possible before tying it to the vehicle, when the pressure comes on it creates the `turn` that will asist the `pullout on the shoulder.“ You probably know this.

  • mick le prick

Those two girls need to grow some balls I was there for my son’s birth IT AINT PRETTY and i wouldn’t do that again lol

    • I was there for both my son and my daughter’s birth, it wasn’t pretty, hurt like hell and I won’t be doing it again because WO generously got fixed LOL
I had told him I wanted 4 kids but after one of each I said maybe two is enough. He trotted off so fast to get a vasectomy before I changed my mind that there was nothing to see but dust, bless him , it was all part of my master plan ( evil laugh )

      • unsol

        I was there….classic!

  • Agent BallSack

This should be required viewing for all people at 13…may stop more than a few teen pregnancies.

    • Callum

Nah, would just make sure they don’t hang around after and use the disposable sim card.

  • I have calved Cows back in the day and I will not,no way or how, be in theater watching any Woman giving birth to a child of mine. Thats my relationship deal breaker if she expects “mouth to south” ever again…Ewwwhhh!
