Hasn’t Christchurch been through enough?

Labour are currently swarming through central Christchurch knocking on doors, frightening and intimidating the populous:

I guess it’s good grass roots activism, although will it be any more effective than those people coming to your door wanting to tell you about God?

Well, it’s big enough to get real MPs joining in.

My goodness.  What could be worse than two old war horses coming to knock on your door to save you from Satan (National) and introduce you to God (Labour)?

Well, only the appearance of the Red Christ himself.  The one to single handedly resurrect the Labour Party.  The anointed one.

Poor central Christchurch residents.  My thoughts are with you.

I hope they come and see me. I haven’t had an opportunity to tell anyone to fuck off yet so far today.

    • If it is Lianne make sure you ask her when she is going to declare her mayoral campaign.

      • Sponge

Damn shame – no one came to see me.

    • LabTested

Ask if it true that there is a million dollars in David’s offshore bank account

  • I wonder what they will say in about 4 hours time when they add up all their canvassing data and it shows a swing to Nicky Wagner? HAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • Mr_V4

    Knock Knock:
    Who’s There?
    Umm, Ah, Um ….
    Piss off David

    • ^my vote for comment of the week!

Mr_V4 – You may laugh now, but come November 8, 2014 night 10:00 PM, you won’t be any more.

  • Rodger T

Doorknockers? I`d rather have these guys turn up.

  • Lion_ess

Anyone else notice how their stupid tweets are all about them? … Look what we’re doing, yay!! Someone had a brain fart in the middle of the night – decided they needed to be “seen” to be doing something – but forgot what the purpose of it is for the poor people they’re going to invade. Given that Labour are short on any policy to discuss, I suspect they may be taking collection tins in the hope of raising some money.

  • Mr_V4

    Ding Dong:
I know you are Ruth, now bugger off.

  • quick… nuke christchurch for the greater good. (sorry jayde, aaron and my other friends down there…. it will be worth it to eradicate Lairbour)

  • Magoo

A quick spray of the shit mist will cleanse their smiles & see them on their bikes.

  • It is now well after 6pm; plenty of time to have knocked on doors and added up all the data.
I notice the Labour party is not crowing about their ‘overwelming’ support on the doorsteps of Christchurch; if the reception had been positive from the electors Labour would be telling everyone.

What’s the bet they only found about 22% support from their doorknock and are too embarrassed (and surprised?) to tell anyone? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

What’s the bet David Shearer’s stomach is churning at the realisation he will be a footnote in history?
What’s the bet the figures show no swing against National?
What’s the bet Christchurch Central (majority 45) and Waimakariri (majority 600) are safe for National in 2014?
What’s the bet later tonight Shearer will be in the loo vomiting his guts out in self disgust?

(couldn’t happen to more deserving people!)

    They spray, and walk away

An estimated 2000 people marched in downtown Auckland today in protest at education reforms that have led to charter schools. Banner waving teachers and supporters gathered outside the shopping mall at Elizabeth Square before heading up Queen St for a midday rally at Aotea Square.

Protesters were carrying a number of signs including ‘pay my mum’ and ‘teachers taught you to read this sign’. Vice president of the New Zealand Education Institute Frances Guy said the protest showed how strongly people feel about education. – NZ Herald

Teachers across the country have taken to protest marches against Novopay, charter schools, national standards and other education issues. The marches were organised by the primary teachers’ union, the New Zealand Educational Institute (NZEI). Around 3500 descended on Auckland’s Aotea Square, with hundreds more in Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton, Dunedin – protests were planned in 26 centres around the country. – Stuff

People came in thousands, Tories, people came in thousands to protest. Your days are numbered John Key……

Around 2000 marched on the steps of Parliament and hundreds turned up to Gerry Brownlee’s office in Christchurch.

  • Who said it was good enough to get real MPs joining in, labour do not have real MPs, they have people who have no idea what they are doing, where they came from, and never know how much money they have in overseas bank accounts.
You call Dalziel,, Dyson MPs what a joke, the only reason they are there is for the money, and yes they crawl up the Chinese here in CHCH, looking for a vote, your not getting votes girls
    SHEARER SHOW US THE MONEY

Any liabor party trougher turning up on my doorstep would be greeted with a bucket of water quickly followed by a bucket of manure.

    • You keep a bucket of manure handy for just such occasions?
