#HeyClint is this #losing ?

Our Tweet of the Day post escalated last night…apparently Trevor Mallard thinks I am a loser.

Looks like the King of the Nasty party is back in business.

What do you guys reckon? Is it me or Trevor who is the loser?

  • Mr Sackunkrak

Errr, our ATM’s don’t dish out $100 notes. Perhaps the ones for Labour MPs do, but I wouldn’t know.

    • Yeah so he lied…typical lefty

      • Shadiness

ANZ seems to fork out $50 notes. When withdrawing $200, usually get 5×20 and 2×50. Don’t know about withdrawing $100 – I’m obviously a rich prick!

        • Bunswalla

          I had $100 once

    • Orange

He said it gave out $50 notes, not $100. Still, a total of $100 every week for coffee. Yikes. I might get $100 out every two months.

    • Andy C

I can get 2x$50 notes when I withdraw $100 from some ATMs. Matches his story.

  • $100 for glasses of wine and coffee?!?! – oh yes I can just imagine beneficiaries in Naenae sitting around on the front lawn of their state houses sipping chardonnay and asking Rangi when the coffee will be brewed.
HAHAHAHA – after 29 in Parliament I wonder if Mallard has actually MET any constituents?

    • Oh! I just noticed he said ‘A’ glass of wine – shit I am clearly in the wrong business (at 8 glasses per bottle)

      • Ronnie Chow

6 standard glasses per bottle .
Unless you haven’t drunk wine yet , then your miscalculation is most definitely excusable .

        • No I haven’t – never drunk any alcohol (and it is not a matter of ‘yet’ – never intend to haha!)

          • Ronnie Chow

There is another great blog here on Pitcairn +++ , where you will find great joy and happiness …..namely , with your fellow travelers …

          • Hazards001

An old business adage of my Dads was “Never trust a man that doesn’t drink” in life that little philosophy has served me well. I Don’t!

          • How much money did your dad make? bet he never created a large iconic business like teetotal Robert Laidlaw (Farmers); bet no one was holding out for your Dad’s christmas parade; bet no one wrote two biographies about your dad.
Bet there are no people in their 80s who worked for your dad still revering him – (more likely they think back to the horrors of spending 8 hours a day in his presence)
Bet your dad got around in walk shorts and a cardigan spouting all manner of other absurdities, too.

          • Hazards001

He died when I was 8. I was celebrating his life today. Fuckwit!
And the people that worked for him in business stayed in touch with my mother their whole lives. So fuck you.

        • AnonWgtn

          Why can’t I make mine over 3 glasses ?

          • Ronnie Chow

You may do that so you can say ” only 3 glasses of wine over dinner , Officer “

    • Steve (North Shore)

Drunk wine? see these comments.. Past tense you ‘drank wine’ not ‘drunk it

  • coventry

Translation: I got a $100 from scalping some tickets to XYZ concert

  • unsol

Aah too be honest WO, you should have left it at the $3 comment. That was a winner! And as you are often quick to say, explaining is losing (you pushed him to the point where he felt he had to explain – so job done! :)).

I don’t think either of you came out as winners re the last two.

And don’t be so quick to write off wainui – they may not be able to afford to provide for their own kids own their own merit (bet a lot of public servants live there…..who have a squillion kids & get WFF), but I am certain they can afford a glass of wine….even if it is only from a box :-)

    • Unsol – as we are discussing these sorts of matters – you should not have said “too be honest” (just as people often say “honestly” “seriously” “in all sincerity” “to be perfectly frank” etc) because it implies you are dis-honest quite regularly – and this is an exception.

      • unsol

A silly reply that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. It is an expression commonly used to water down critiques. I am sure you know this.

“Seriously” – this is something that only juvenile delinquents should be able to use. Coming from adults just sounds retarded. A bit like the use of such expressions as “hahahaha”. :-)

If you were going to critique anything then you should have picked up on the fact that I wrote “too” instead of “to”.

Since we are having this conversation, your use of “- and ” is grammatically incorrect. You included “-” in the first part of your statement. You should have put a full-stop at the end of your brackets and started a new sentence with the word “it”.

        • Ronnie Chow

Perfectman is telling you off , Unsol .

          What’s the bet he’s a hoarder ?

        • Regarding the ‘too’/’to’ – I was going to write [sic] but wasn’t sure if you or Ronnie would understand what that meant; I do not consider myself a hoarder but I do have the entire collection of Agatha Christie novels

          • Ronnie Chow

Don’t worry about me , I never understand what you mean .
I can only see what you are projecting , which is the image that you would like people to have of you , without any reference to a mirror .

        • Jman

You shouldn’t argue with unsol. She has nice boobs.

  • cows4me

Trevor is way to clever for you WO. Of course his constituents will be able to afford power and wine, you can afford anything if first you nationalise it then print enough money to pay for it.

  • metalnwood

He probably made money with that raffle ticket. No doubt he auctioned it off for more than he bought it for. No doubt after the draw.

  • Ronnie Chow

How does a busy politician working hard for his constituents find the time for such inane twitter drivel ? Is Trevor a celebrity , twittering away the realities of a difficult world .
The power of social media , which served Obama so well , is reduced to the level of a teenage chat room for Mallard and many other Labour Politicians .Pathetic .
    When do they actually ‘WORK’

    • Is this a rhetorical question?

      • Ronnie Chow

        Spot on .

  • tarkwin

Trev was never much of a wordsmith, but then I suppose it can’t be easy when you’ve got your foot permanently stuck in your mouth.

  • NoVictim

NZ electricity, at US 19c /kw is cheaper than

    Australia 22c
    Belguim 29c
    Brazil 34c
    Chile 23c
    Denmark 40c
    Finland 20.6c
    France 19.4c
    Germany 31c
    Hungary 23c
    Ireland 28c
    Italy 28c
    Netherlands 29c
    Portugal 25c
    Singapore 21.5c
    Sweden 27c
    Tonga 58c
    UK 20c

There are not many first world countries cheaper than NZ.

    • rockape

Well I pay 15C US in Nelson your overpaying!

    • Justsayn

How do the figures look when expressed as a proportion of average household income – that would be the figure to slap them with if it stacks up (Tonga might not look great!).

    • Jman

How did Tonga sneak in on that list?

      • Patrick

Tonga is very reliant on buring fossil fuels for electricity – grid supplied electricity is 98% diesel generated. Therefore their pricing is very susceptible to price increases due to the market demand for fuels. NZ hydro does not face such market forces.

        • Ronnie Chow

          Tonga . Now there’s a case for finding oil . Deep , though .
We need some more Sheikhs in the South Pacific , as our Rangatira Iwi are feeling isolated , causing bickering .

        • Hazards001

Very true..so on the face of it…why are our power prices so high when most of it is generated from hydro and steam…and a piddling little bit from coal?

Answer…..Labour and there 9 years of power price hikes to re fill the coffers as Uncle Helen pissed it all away on vote buying!

  • blokeintakapuna

Definitely Trev needs to learn the NFWAB rule… And this is perhaps more appropriate for him too…

I think WO is splitting hairs, but no moreso than the idiot Robertson.
Come on Key, did you have cornflakes or weetbix for breakfast?

    • Whatever he had it wasn’t a bloody $100 glass of wine or cup of coffee! haha

  • NZ Groover

What’s the definition of stupidity………He’ll never learn, as soon as he engages with you he’s lost.

  • Eiselmann

This guy lives in another world and the disconnect with most labour supporters is staggering….as if getting 47 dollars in coins is an issue worth twittering about.
Tell you want Trevor go into WINZ office in South Auckland and let them know what that horrible machine did to you, I’m sure you’ll get a lot of sympathy from parents struggling to find enough money for food this week..

  • PlanetOrphan

    Parking attendant @ headoffice ….

I’ve found the counterfeiter, It’s Trevor Mallard.

  • Now, now Wo he did beat you in that bike race you know. You know the sport that he is expert in and the one that you took up for the first time in order to answer his challenge as he was not prepared to face you in the sport you were experienced in ie boxing LOL
However as someone else said he was silly enough to respond to you and to try to EXPLAIN himself. Gee, internet 101, never bite when WO goes fishing.

  • Lion_ess

Can’t understand why Mallard would think that his car-park change is interesting and deserving of tweeting about. This information would have made better pillow-talk – “Days of Our Lives” style, that is presuming he roots someone who would even pretend to listen to this dribble.

    • Mr_V4

I’m sure where Trev gets his pillow talk, $3/hr would be high end.

  • Hazards001

    Oh…and WO…….*SHOT*

  • Rat

mnnnn, just went through red Alert and the obsession with Cameron Slater, thats a big fat zero. Reading through what Mallard is as a loser..maybe, now lets compare that to you Cameron, bricks and glasshouses may be the metaphor here
