In Wellington the parking is easy

Just a couple more parkers for you

Just a couple more parkers for you

4 cars parked across the entry/exit of a Wellington car park

First Security GEN984

NZ Couriers FZS392 and EMR655

and Heritage Tiles (sorry couldn’t get rego)

I guess it’s ok to park on broken yellow lines if your tyres are on the black bits!

Perhaps if I had a scooter I wouldn’t have had to wait since the NZ Couriers were kind enough to leave a gap between their cars

Oh, and 3 of the 4 had their hazard lights on to make highlight their disregard for others

BTW, if First Security argue they are not on broken yellows, they are right, but they are beyond the last legal park which makes life difficult for cars coming into the car park

Is that a pub next door? . If so the parking is understandable.

This is all National Government’s problem – Sheep.

    • BJ

I dispute that – they have been parking there for the last 10 yrs and getting away with it.

      • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

I see….now let me come up with more conspiracy theories – Sheep.

I thought that NZC would be little more carefull of their image, given they just took a hit on this blog recently.

  • hazardsareonitsok

    hazards are on, its ok

This is one situation where having an older car is perfect… roll up to the car(s) blocking the exit and nudge away.

    • Tom

Just where an ARB front bar on the Hilux comes in useful! If you have a rear one too you can put it back once you’ve got past hahaha

  • unsol

Good stuff, keep these posts coming I say!

I also snapped another of my own today – crappy holden parked perfectly in what was a very narrow park, yet the Colt decided to encroach on 1 of 2 spare car parks (the other being beside the Holden) in the entire car park anyway.

ALMOST worthy of the C bomb….

  • unitedtribes

Now that is actually sensible parking. Everone should partisapate.

    • Mr_Blobby

I concur unwantedtribes who is responsible for the lack of planning that created this situation.

Oh wait the same council that benefits financially from the plan to fail strategy.

  • Mr_Blobby

    Parking in Auckland is easier.

        Thank You.

    • Holding up the person in the car in front too…they must have thought what are you two up to?

      • Mr_Blobby

Was waiting for them to move so I could have more room.

        • unsol

Laugh out loud blob :) I reckon this should be the new trend….bit like the dance dare or talking to people in song lyrics! But if that’s you in the pic then you don’t appear to be living up to your name re all those pies you claim to eat!

    • Mr_V4

You could have hooked up the boat as well. :-)

  • Rachel

We’re not so uptight and prone to whinging about such unimportant things down here.

    • Hazards001

Yes…well the parts of the country that are still using hitching rails as the main form of parking my feel superior on this issue now…but trust me…as we import more Chinese you’re time will surely come!

I dunno – everyone seems to keep wanting to live in Auckland. Beats me as to why. And in the South Island car parks seem bigger, more of them & heaps cheaper….often as cheap as 40c an hour (not in CHCH or Dunedin though).

        • Muffin

Show of hands who wants to live in Auckland
