New Army Mission: Go vote in the poll to send Maurice to appear on Ellen

Maurice pollThe NZ Herald has a poll about Maurice Williamson on whether or not he should be cleared to appear on the Ellen Degeneres show?

I understand that Letterman has also requested him as well…so go vote and send a message that he should be allowed to go.

Can you believe the mingers though that are voting that he shouldn’t be allowed to go.

He is on Campbell Live tonight, which should be worth watching mainly to watch a leftie sook go gaga over a National MP. It will be a rare and wonderful sight to behold.

Plus is might just give him the momentum to considering to give Len Brown a run for his money.

Gay idea, gay show. Ah fuck it, send him to the silly blonde bint that dances like a bow legged Canada Goose up and down the steps in the crowd every show. Can’t be any worse that John Key’s cringeworthy effort on the Letterman show.

    • Lion_ess

I didn’t mind Key’s appearance on Letterman – there as Minister of Tourism, took the piss, had a laugh – I thought it was ok.

      • Travis Poulson

I’m no fan of those lame tacky and flat humoured American shows.

        • unsol

No fan yet you’ve clearly watched it!

Ellen is fantastic. Light hearted, very kind & bloody funny. Best moments for me are clumsy thumbsy & the writer Amy talking to strangers in song lyrics. Fail to see anything to scoff about.

          • Travis Poulson

I’ve seen it, not watched it. I’m not the one in the household that watches it. Of course YOU fail to see anything to scoff at. What kind of comedy do I prefer? well that’s irrelevant to the post really isn’t it.

Btw, I think you’re confused with comedy and crappy talk shows.

          • unsol

Bet you watch it out of the corner of your eye & have a wee giggle…go on, admit it.

Gotcha! I thought you had a hard & fast rule not to comment on posts from the day before! :-)

            Have a good day Travis!

          • Travis Poulson

The introduction of “yesterday’s posts” on the main page changed that. My rule is more applicable to posts 2+ days old.

          • TomTom

Excuse me! Miranda is fucking hilarious.

I cbf with Ellen – that show bores me to death. And dear lord, that audience of screaming women.

          • LesleyNZ

I agree TomTom except leave the F word out. Miranda is hilarious – great comedy. Ellen is rubbish or tripe. British is best.

  • cows4me

God you’re like fawning teenage girls squealing at some retarded rock star. Just because the clown gets viewed by all the liberal bents the world has to offer you go weak at the knees. Forget all the gay marriage bullshit, you want this politician to lead Auckland, you need your heads read . This is the politician that stated he had no time or interest to read emails from his constituents concerning gay marriage, his mind was made up. Fuck you moan about Len Brown but are quite willing to install a politician that has clearly stated he has no time for “his people”. You get what you deserve.

  • Travis Poulson

I’ll vote no, last thing we need is another kiwi polly making a dick of himself on a shallow American TV show.

    • Lion_ess

Len doesn’t “make” himself look foolish – he does this as a perfectly natural reaction to any setting in which he finds himself.

      • Travis Poulson

I find myself struggling to mount an argument against your claim. I’ll go for another beer I think.

  • Mr_Blobby

  • NotForTurning

Stupid poll. He’s a minister; he should go; govt should pick up the tab from the parliamentary travel allocation.

  • LesleyNZ

Now I have been told there are far more important things to attend to and move on. This whalearmy gal says NO!

  • GregM

Nah. All of these TV shows are utter trivial crap. I would rather he spent his time doing something more constructive. Like getting a campaign and fundraising going to roll “ratesarerevolting”s best mate Len.

    • Travis Poulson

Indeed Greg, at least you’ve got some taste, unlike others here. Letterman and Ellen, good god. Have some dignity people. Mind you, it’s been mostly women that have said yes here, the blokes are watching the League. Half times over, I’m off :)

  • Lofty

Nah he is better off assisting with ensuring the liars parties do not get their hands on power.
    Concentration and attack head on.
Take leaf out of the Kiwis performance tonight, the job in hand is far more important than trivial mindless TV appearances.
At 1/2 time and all square 6 all, the kiwis will not allow nonsense to distract them.
Willie would have given the Kiwis a great motivational chat about objectives and never slowing down, attack and win in the face of bluff and bullshit.
To win the next election will take a full team effort, without distraction by peripheral nonsense.

    • Travis Poulson

      +1, well said chap.

    • GregM

      Yep +2
( and it’s still 6 all and I’m about to run out of beer, fuck fuck fuck…)

      • Travis Poulson

Ref is on the meth tonight

        • GregM

And the TMO is watching “Ellen” and not the game..

  • LabTested

I do not understand the question. Has the Ellen program offered to fly him over or what?

  • There is more humanity, compassion morality and decent goodness in an episode of Dr Who than in the whole of Christendom or the so called holy bible….

    • Blair Mulholland

That’s an utterly stupid thing to say. All 1.5 billion of them, plus all the others throughout history?

  • nzd.gbp

It must really rip louisa wall’s undies that maurice williamson of all people becomes famous around the world beause of her bill.

    • le spincter

15 min of fame , yeah right

  • People just don’t get it. He was asked because of the manner in which his view was taken on a Bill about marriage equality – dumbed down to being a gay view and the misinterpreted. Not about some intellectual international political revelation. He would be a fool to go and would do himself nor the nation any good. People just don’t get it? Do you ever see people screaming for a ‘Straight’ parade. Or chanting for a ‘Pakeha’ get together down the main streets. When will people stop wasting their most precious commodity on earth and do something constructive with their ‘time’ before its all over. Just treat everyone as the same and equal. Its the attention given to nonsense like this when more important issues are happening in your own community or globally that downgrade matters. Oh by the way, Boy scouts in tend to lift the ban on gay members, and schools will receive curriculum changes to ensure your teenager knows how to practice gay sex with their boy or girl friend just to make it hard for their developing brains to figure out whether its their best friend that they play football or netball with or their lover that they should practice banging with after school while high on some synthetic dope from down at the local dairy.
