So how are you coping?

Now that daylight saving is turned off, will the weather come right?

This letter to the editor in The Border Morning Mail, Albury, on the border of New South Wales and Victoria is on par with some of the submissions from Federated Farmers in 1974 which are legendary, but that was before “global warming” became a feature in the news media.

So how are you coping?

No wonder it’s getting so cold all of a sudden.

SCS, please let us know when the sheep truck arrives to take him away then.

  • This is so stupid, it will probably become Labour policy.

No wonder those fucken curtains are fading.

Almost as fast a Shearer’s brain.

    • Dave

Gazzaw……. Er, it was a man born in Dannevirke that made that statement, “we cant have Daylight savings in QLD, the curtains will fade and the Cows wont milk” Could it be he is related to Shearer, about as shonky as well.

Joe Bjelke? They might be linked intellectually but certainly not politically.

I bet the paper loved publishing that one. Poor Chris, not one of Gods brighter creatures for sure. I do hope the CSIRO replies with something equally entertaining.

People in Tweed Heads (NSW) have more to complain about. It is virtually part of Coolangatta (QLD), in fact the local airport runway crosses into NSW. NSW but not Queensland has daylight saving, and Tweed Heads people are forced to have daylight saving agains their will. It is awkward when for example the local bus timetable (buses from Surfers Paradise etc cross the border) and airport arrivals and departures flip by one hour twice a year.

    • Dave

Come on peter, thats an issue with QLD not NSW, the fact the dumb QLD’ers cant get their act together is not due to Tweed Heads and NSW. Other states and territories in Aussie, and NZ as well, all have Daylight Savings. Besides, there is advantages, when the pups close in NSW, one can walk across the road to QLD and they are still open for an hour.

Great to drive to work in daylight…think I’ve mentioned enough times how I feel about the extended daylight savings.

And Chris Hill is probably the father of some of those genetically deficient 11 toed banjo playing half wits I had to work with whilst trapped in that rat hole
