The Lamington Files, Ctd

If there’s one thing coming through about the Herald’s pandering to Witchy Wendyl it’s that she’s not as well liked as the editor would like to think she is.

If these pics are anything to go by, Shayne’s clearly a smooth operator with the ladies, so it’s no wonder Witchy Wendyl is all gushy over him in one of her books.

Is that the reason he allows her a weekly column rant to be published containing mistakes and half-truths attacking other manufacturers’ products?

Considering that Witchy Wendyl is producing and selling a range of competing products it won’t be long until someone starts wondering how she rants about high sugary products when, low and behold on her own site she encourages “heaps of sugar” in her ‘Best Ever Marmalade recipe.

Politicians have a word for that sort of behaviour. It starts with an ‘H’.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
