Environmentalists have expressed outrage after a ute was submerged during beachside filming in California.

A Ram ute was the star of an advertisement in Humboldt County north of San Francisco until it became stuck on rocks.

Humboldt County resident Jeff Bernard says the Ram was stuck overnight as images of the stranded vehicle went viral.

Quite apart from the wailing of environmental numpties, that is just hopeless as far as the ute is concerned.
