Asset Sale petition fails – Labour to blame

The finger pointing has started.

Apparently the 16,500 signatures that are still needed were the ones Labour failed to collect.

I can just see a Labour/Green coalition last, can’t you?

  • the shit kickers start to implode

    • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

When the results come out on Nov 8, 2014, look out for Sheep and the hippie to come together on a stage and announce the formation of historic Labour-Green government with support from NZ First and Mana. Until then laugh your hearts out bro.

      • Grizz30

No, it will be a Green-NZ First-Labour-Mana coalition of the proverbial. Metiria and Russel will alternate as PM week by week (there will not be any increase in catering costs as Metiria eats for both of them). Winston will be Deputy PM and minister of finance (his first budget act will be to reduce taxes on beer and cigarettes). Sheep will be minister of Education, Honi Maori Affairs outside of Cabinet (an inside a bubble) and Trevor will be Minister of Foreign Affairs, just so that the buggers muddle can get him out of the country. Of course, as the Greens will be the biggest party in the coalition, they will get to select the Minister of trade. Who better than Catherine Delhaunty. I mean, a well presentable, straight up, no bullshit, straight talker who can see beyond her own xenophobia. Not to mention a solid tertiary education to back her up.

  • rockape

Dont worry, after the election Labour will be able to claim the Greens got less seats than them so thats why they are not together in Government. This next election is going to be so much fun.

    • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Greens are ready to support Sheep led government from outside.

  • Grizz30

I think the next election will see NZ first return with an increased vote. Labour and the Greens will beat each other up for voters, many will be turned off and give their vote to Winston

    • How does Winston possibly pick up disaffected Green/Labour voters. I don’t see it myself.

      • Grizz30

Some will struggle to vote National.

        • Only those that cant read

          • Cadwallader

Or too old to know otherwise!

        • rockape

You forget a simple thing. National is doing well in the polls because National is doing well in Government. We may take the piss out of the Greens and Labour here but thats just a bit of fun. Governments are rewarded on polling day for sticking to their guns and listening to the public. The Greens and Labour concentrate on listening to the Unions and self interested focus groups and thats why they fail.

          • Anne

Labour fails because they’ve got a buffoon as a leader.

          • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Check the TV1 poll bro. That is the only poll that is accurate.

          • Grizz30

National doing well in the polls? they are down on election day. The media seem to tell us their support has fallen through the floor. They need to be careful not to blow the economic traction they are just starting to find. They need to make the election about economic policy and take Labour and Greens head on. No fannying about on sanctimonious bull crap that simply does not matter.

        • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Nobody wants to vote National bro. Sheep is winning

          • cows4me

You shouldn’t drink to much before your tea Sir.

          • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Dave, Cows4me – treat me real bad. I am lodging a complaint with PM Sheep. Do you know who I am?

      • Justsayn

He is political K2: They now it is not real. They know it might do them harm. They know it is just cheap rubbish. They know it smokes. They know you’d be better of with the real green stuff. They know it will be reinvented as some like shit as soon as it loses popularity. But some cannot help themselves.

There is always the possibility he might die – God may be the only one capable of parting him and the baubles of power – he seems to have been in his late seventies since the late seventies.

      • Anne

Voters go all over the place when they’re annoyed. There’s no “standard” voter anywhere, especially not these days.

    • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Correct, so it could be Labour-NZ First government with Greens and Mana supporting it on confidence and supply. Very neat arrangement.

  • blokeintakapuna

Has it not occurred to them that even with an additional 83,000 signatures they “collected” they’re still 16,500 short? That’s approx. a 33% error rate on their so called petition that supposedly has 70% of NZ supporting L&G stance.

Seems NZinc gave L&G a big wedgie and 1 winger salute …and they’ve got the signatures to prove it!

    Best own-goal of all time?

Watch out though… Any animal cornered and feeling trapped will lash out… And L&G are now in this position. Surely they wouldn’t be so spiteful and cynical to deliberately inflict financial sabotage on all of NZ? Ooh Wait…

  • I don’t know much of the man, but Martyn Bradbury certainly appears to be the very definition of a ‘cunt’ (b. a contemptible person.)

  • Dave

Bring on the divorce. However, the solution might be to blame National ,it seems they had support to sell the assets after all. Hey Clint, is that what National wanted ?

  • In Vino Veritas

Turei, the ex McGillicuddy Serious Party member, and Bradbury, the failed ersatz media commentator, have got to realise that Labour tapped out their whole supporter base in getting the signatures they did. As did the Greens. Seems partial sell downs are not as unpopular as Labour and the Greens would have one think.

    • 2011 election 2,278,989 (74.21%) voted, of which 862,306 (38%) voted for Labour or Greens. With a potential signature base of this many, and considering they believe 70% or 1,595,292 voters are against the partial sales, it is amazing that they couldn’t even get the numbers needed. Serious reality check.

      • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

You forget most of the Labour-Green voters cannot read or write….so….get the drift?

        • In Vino Veritas

Hah ha SCS! Thats very funny!

  • rockape

Yes but the best is yet to come. If and its not a big if they get the numbers, they then have their referendum. They then have to win that and on their performance so far they will fail. After all didnt they fight the initial argument on those huge dividends going to the Government coffers. They kind of scored an own goal now they are saying no to dividends ! Not only that but as half the country is tightening its belt, they want to waste more on a referendum thats going to fail. didnt they learn that you should pick the battles your likely to win! Tossers all.

    • blokeintakapuna

More conflicted and twisted by hypocrisy and corruption as to be more of a plastic pretzel than Hone…

  • As the immortal C Montgomery Burns would say, “Excellent…….!”

  • Wile E Coyote

Blaming the wrong people as usual.

In no particular order I blame the following groups.

    Looney Tunes

    Hannah and Barbera

    Walt Disney

And finally but not least. Murray Foote.

only these slacktards had created another few thousand cartoon
characters the Labour twats and the Green Taliban would have made the
    number to force a referendum.

    • OT Richter

      Blame it on the boogie

  • tarkwin

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Martyn Bradbury is a total wanker.

  • Must’ve run out of KFC.

  • Michael

This is great. Let them blame each other. It shows the raging pinkos can’t actually work together.

  • Bunswalla

Haha classic – yet the Horrid is trying to blame it all on Grey Power. Is there nothing they won’t stoop to in a vain effort to keep Liebour?green Taliban out of the shit, despite their own best efforts?

    • LabTested

The sooner they put this sort of spin behind a Paywall the better

  • blokeintakapuna

If they can be be so so wrong when they thought they were so so right…Now How accurate is L&G’s promise for power savings of between $220-330 per annum likely to be?

  • cows4me

Why the fuck is Bradbury blaming Liarbore, it’s not like they have 16,000 plus paid up members to crawl to. On a push they may have been able to put a bit of pressure on 500 or less.

  • Mr_V4

Was Bradbury out there collecting signatures, or too busy trying to flog crummy real estate?

  • I just want to know if we are getting the money they stole from working taxpaying kiwis back.
