BLUBBERGEDDON: It’s on!

blubbergeddon starting weights dataIt’s on indeed.

Welcome to the brave souls that have entered this weight loss challenge.

Remember:  This will be the only time you will see right wingers celebrate that everybody is a winner.

There are 16 of us, and as a rugby team, we weigh in at 1662 kg.

Our scrum weighs in at 843 kg.

12 weeks ahead.

I like to repeat this caution:  Do not starve yourself.  Any weight loss after 12 weeks is a win.  Eat a balanced diet and perhaps pop a few multivitamins to keep things in balance.

Each week we’ll report the week’s loss, total loss and percentage loss for each person.  We will also make a big deal out of the people with the most loss for the week, most loss so far, and the largest percentage loss so far.  And although a pointless statistic, we’ll also track the total loss as a group.

Here is the starting graph.  Not much excitement there yet.  But that will change as the weeks tick along.

Administrative note:  No need to send photos of your feet on the scales.  I really don’t want to see your feet!  It was a throwaway line when I thought it was just Cam, Travis and I doing this.  Just report your weight in an email to petalwobh AT gmail.com (not the Tipline or Cam directly).

  • awesome team – due to being diagnosed with diabetes , i finally got my shit together and since November have gone from 125kg to 90….I still eat well and only walk for exercise. but no longer have diabetes….good luck and cam is right, don’t starve yourself, just watch what you each….coffee was my saviour LOL

    • Travis Poulson

      *Pete not Cam.

I’d like to be around 90, where I was before I quit farming and moved to Auckland. Maybe even lighter than that if I really get serious about my running.

      • I can’t remember weighing less than 100. Just to weigh in the 90s will be a major mental thing. As a result I don’t know where I should stop. I guess I should try and stop looking like a ballet dancing goalkeep :)

  • Travis Poulson

I hope for his sake Donovan is a fat midget.

    • I like to get the popcorn and coke and sit there watching Donovan’s reply, but I’m on a diet!

    • Muffin

A couple of those guys could do with loosing the equivalent of donovans entire body weight…. Almost!

      Good luck all

    • I look (an behave) a bit like this:

  • Was a bit angry today…so went for a walk

A bit slow, but was good

  • GregM

1661.5 kg’s, holy shit you lot, don’t all stand in the same place at once, you’ll knock the earth out of its orbit.
Good luck with the contest. :-)

  • RightOfGenghis

Pete, do we really need all those decimals? Sorry, can’t help it. It’s the analcyst in me.

    • Lofty

I had an anal cyst once..had it removed and lost 1.2 kilos. ;-)

Can we add that to my record?

      • Sponge

        Oh yuck!

      • Travis Poulson

Bloody hell man, it’s nearly dinner time.

        • Lofty

Mmmmm dinner, tripe and onions……could be a little cyst like Travis eh?
I am going to flush it down by quaffing a moderate amount of red vino.
          Yum

I promise to have a weight loss by next Saturday though.
About a kilo a week will be tough but my wife has come on board also in our household, so should be achievable using her weight watchers plan.

          • ThievingBastards

You bastard, you ruined my dinner too. You should be ashamed of yourself.

          • Lofty

Don’t blame me blame good old right of genghis He got the spelling a little cocked up ;-)

        • Lofty

Alright if you must know this is my cyst story, I would not normally relate my personal issues, but you have been so insistant, i feel I must, so here goes. (it pains me to tell, this)

I went to the doc with a huge puss cyst right on the cusp of my anus which was causing some aggrevation!

the doctor who upon seeing the infection immediatly threw up all over the place from the smell and sight of the cyst!

the doctor refused to touch it or even look at it again and refered me on to the doctor down the road….

The next doctor had a look and had the exact same reaction! frustrated at this I asked the doctor “is there anyone that will help me?” the doctor thought for a moment and gave me details to find a man by the name of Arnold Pussucker who worked down at the dock yards! so the next day I went to find Arnold Pussucker and when I found him explained the situation.

Arnold said “ok come with me” and he took me to a secluded area and said “ok now pull down your pants and show me the problem” so I did and as soon as Arnold pussucker saw what was wrong immediatley put his lips round the cyst, bit down and started sucking the puss out, I was shocked but at the same time relieved.

all of the sudden I really needed to fart so I did and Arnold pulled away in shock and said

“You know its people like you that make this job disgusting!”

          • ThievingBastards

I am disgusted in myself for upvoting this comment.

  • Lofty

Just for the record, my online name is my excuse for my weight, with height comes kilos.
I freely admit that there are a few too many, my aim is to drop to around 103 to 105ish.

Oh Jesus what have I signed up for……….

  • Dave

Congrats to all those on the weight loss program, and remember, its not that your overweight, its just that your too short for your weight :)
