Face of the day

  • “Those people should be shot in the balls”
  • “Are they TRYING to start a war? Jesus christ. They’re like wikileaks. You don’t put that s*** in the NEWSPAPER.”
  • “‘ethical reporting’ but ‘VIOLATING NATIONAL SECURITY? no. That s*** is classified for a reason. It’s not because “oh we hope our citizens don’t find out”. It’s because “this s*** won’t work if iran knows what we’re doing”. I am so angry right now. This is completely unbelievable.”

whistleblower traitor and espionage fugitive Edward Snowden said of those who leak information to the public in a January 2009 online chat.

It’s not like it was all that secret either, you gotta wonder what got into the guy.

Sometimes too much coding can send you off the deep end.

The words best sysop over at the strandard is another classic example of this.

So nobody’s ever changed their mind then????
    Especially younger more impressionable folk!

    Keep running FOOL…

    • He can run, but he is only going to die tired

Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both. I think Ben Franklin would have been disappointed with the path America is now taking.

    • Patrick

The converse is the UK where they now struggle to deport the foreign terrorists that have orchestrated attacks against UK citizens, terrorists that have lived high on the hog on the back of the UK welfare state. People that have come seeking refuge from their own failed countries & now turn on their welcoming hosts in the UK.

bias much? – you do realize that info on the fact that the NSA has been doing this has been out in the public domain for years through other wistleblowers.

    • Godwin’s law…first comment from you…loser

      • Polish Pride

I guess that is the only real defence you have on this eh Cam

      • cows4me

Perhaps if PP had quoted Ceausecu’s law it would have passed muster?

      • unsol

And yet you claim you are smart. It is far from applying Mike Godwin’s little theory…..if you knew your history. Godwin’s law only applies when Hitler & his Nazis are introduced to a topic where it has no relevance. PP’s reference has relevance. Egg.

  • Polish Pride

Where a country has a constitution, their is no higher law in the land. What the NSA has done has broken the 4th amendment. This trumps anything that Snowden has done and in fact it can be argued he had a moral duty to make it known as an American citizen.
I wonder if the US had in secret made slavery legal and was engaging in slavery and Snowden had outed this. Would you be still sitting here right now calling him a traitor and saying he should be held accountable for treason?

    • johnbronkhorst

      Bollocks of an argument.
No hero’s here only villian’s. NSA wrong for “spying” on it’s own. Snowden guilty of breaching “official secrets act” or USA’s equivalent.
See how the mighty have fallen under this paper president (the worst the USA has EVER had)!!!!

  • wikiriwhi

What no one understands is the US wants war. POW’s will fill their privatisation jails for profit and US arm dealers will make a mint. the US is flat broke and in debt. The Obama administration is so full of conspiracy against it’s own people it needs large scale war to protect itself. Russia has also threatened war against the US because of Monsanto poisoning agriculture all over the world. when you know the facts, Ed Snowden is small banana’s.

    • WayneO

Oh the Monsato argument. Provides solid evidence to back almost any conspiracy theory going.

Go back to adjusting your tinfoil hat.

Why didn’t he just put it out and stay in the USA? I’d choose life in prison over life on the run in backwaters like Russia or living in basements with Julian Assange.
