Saturday Parking Fiesta

Now that Cam is back full time at Whaleoil Beef Hooked, it is getting harder to get a word in edge-wise around here.  So some of our regular posts are being moved around.  One victim of Cam’s return to the blog are the daily parking posts.  Now only on the weekend (unless you hand out a Whaleoil Parking Ticket!)

Today, we have a true piece of parking art for you:

Via the Tipline

In the Civic parking this morning! No way the car next to this wanker can get out.

Surprisingly good tread on that tire.

It doesn’t surprise me that an idiot with a car that looks like it’s been in a demo derby would park like that. They obviously have no respect for their own property so why would these peasants worry about other peoples property. I would also bet all the tea in China that the vehicle isn’t insured either. Damn inconsiderate scumbags is all they are.

  • Sym Gardiner

Look at the Merc’s tyre in the third photo. Contributing factor?

    • Travis Poulson

I don’t see how it would be.

      • Sym Gardiner

Just saying this could be an extremely skilled piece of parking. He’s not in the Merc’s parking space. He’s in the buffer zone just as the Merc is. And in doing so he has made it impossible for the Merc to get out. Pretty impressive really.
If the Merc had been parked correctly then it would have been able to get out.
I would have liked to see the discussion if the Merc driver got back first. :)

        • Travis Poulson

doesn’t really explain how the Merc could be a contributing factor. Just explains how the driver of the shit heap could possibly be acting like a petty cunt over nothing.

          • Sym Gardiner

Plenty of those out there. And it doesn’t take much to set them off. :)

You have to admire the skill though. If it was a nice BMW or something you would just key the side. But you can’t because its a beater. Even slashing the tyres doesn’t help as you are still trapped. About the best outcome for the Merc is to call a towie… but then he risks getting someone who will tow him as well. All up it seems like the best option is to show some patience and let the so and so have his win. In the end he’s still driving a beater and you are driving a Merc convertible.

          • Chris

Brainless example of parking by the driver of the shit heap – sure – but if the Merc wasn’t parked over the buffer then its driver could still get out. This is why there are buffers like this. If the Merc wasn’t over the buffer line then the driver of the shit heap – while not excusing the shit heap driver at all – would’ve had to have gone over into the Merc’s actual park space to prevent the Merc from getting out. Both parties have contributed to this – the driver of the shit heap more so, obviously – but the driver of the Merc is not blameless. I’d say it’d go about 75/25.

    • Mr_Blobby

No. It is angle parking the fucktard would have gone in from the wrong direction.

Probably no rego, no wof, no insurance.

This is the sort of car that the Police should be removing from the road permanently.

  • Patrick

Be a shame if all four of his tyres were flat when he returned wouldn’t it.

    • Travis Poulson

      Broken lights, wipers, mirrors…..

And a note saying “sorry, you made it difficult for me to get out, so I made it more difficulty for you to get a warrant”

      • Sym Gardiner

Key down the the side of a Merc verses some second hand parts from the wreckers??? Not worth the risk.

Or worse… a key through the convertible roof…

Remember the Merc’s trapped. Or did you manage to get out?

        • Travis Poulson

You’d be surprised, a good driver can do alot with a small amount of room….but then again it is an owner of a Merc convertible.

Edit: I could get the Merc out of there easily with nothing but a car jack and a bit of muscle.

          • unsol

            Doubt it.

          • Travis Poulson

Isn’t that funny, you originally made a comment agreeing with how I could possibly achieve it and how I handled another situation involving my truck with the flat tire, then after I made a comment on another thread that you didn’t like you came back here to edit your comment to “doubt it”.

Don’t let your emotions get the better of you there unsol.

I bet you’re hoping no one else out there viewed your original comment so you can call me a liar.

          • unsol

Aww truckie no emotions, just thought I would see if you noticed.

Edited it because I realised you meant physically moving the car rather than manoeuvring it out of a tight spot….those Mercs arent a tad bigger than the shopping cart variety!

          • Travis Poulson

” just thought I would see if you noticed.” rrrrright I’m convinced.

And yes I could physically move it sideways, you don’t have to be He-Man, that’s where the bottle jack comes into play. I’ve already successfully done it in the past with a heavier Isuzu Bighorn to get it onto some boards to get it out of a bog. My wife can vouch for it.

It’s about being smarter, not stronger.

          • unsol

Ok you win. I believe you. You’re smart & tough :-)

Nearly dinner time…speaking of which how’d you get on with your sushi?

          • Travis Poulson

            Raging success. Tidy even.

      • Mr_Blobby

In the current condition I would say it does not have a wof or the possibility of getting one.
