The Huddle at 1740

I am on the Huddle again tonight, and good news for reader, Larry Williams is back.

Our topics tonight are:

  • Possible pending demise of Nelson Mandela
  • Labour’s cat fight in Christchurch East between Clayton Cosgrove and James Caygill
  • The ALP’s nasty internecine fighting between factions as the party burns itself to the ground.

You can listen online or through usual methods.

I will post the audio online tomorrow morning as usual.

Listened on my way home for the 1st time since Larry so inconsiderately went on holiday :-) welcome back Lazza you bloody beauty.
Made my long commute more tolerable.
WO you were quite reasonable tonight….what is up with that?

    • Travis Poulson

I agree, how dare he go on holiday. I was equally unimpressed when I had to endure a couple of weeks without Leighton.

      • Lofty

I never get to hear Leighton very often unfortunately, usually at my desk working thought he pile of poohs that we business owners face on a day to day basis. When I do I enjoy it.

  • Kopua Cowboy

It amazes me how you people manage to put up with the huge advertising to content ratio on this station. I really don’t know how you do it.

    • Lofty

Yes it is quite a high content I suppose, but I really only get to listen to Hosking in the morning and Larry at night, Watson drives me to drink, thank goodness I am working when he is on, but that is what the station selector is for.

  • Whafe

Was great to have Leighton back on… I finish work at 5.39 on Monday’s, well try to, so as I can listen in… Josie was loving Cam today… Cam was indeed reasonable, but got the point across, was not so much topics to go hard on….

I also cannot cope with Danny…. If I happen to be driving to a meeting, I switch over to those cronic lefties on Live when Danny is on, at least I know they are so bent left… It reinforces to me as to why I can’t stand the hypocritical left….

    • Lofty

Whafe, you are braver soul than I.

I cannot abide those racist pretenders.

It’s music for me when I am travelling meeting to meeting or business to business.

Jingos I would rather tune in to question time than listen to Watsons ” so YOU tell me what YOU think” program, or the poke the whiteys with a stick to get a reaction, any reaction will do, so long as we get one, brothers program.

    • Travis Poulson

Not keen on the way Danny talks people down but expects them to shut up when he’s talking?

      • Lofty

I have never enjoyed Watson since he usurped …..bugger I have forgotten his predecessors name……bloody early dementia…..any one remember who Watson nudged aside?

Edit…..wot the ?????? I can hear Watsons predecessors voice..controversial but hellishly engaging…far better than Watson..ah well time moves on.

        • Lofty

I am just generally musing, but I wonder if Danny Watson is on Chris Carters Christmas card list..somehow I don’t think so.

          • Travis Poulson

I never listened back then, but more often than not Watson irritates me with her persistent way of talking someone down. He tries to balance it out by being over the top friendly with other callers and having uncontrollable exaggerated laughing fits over nothing. I cringe over his laughing fits sometimes.

          • Lofty

            I am wid ya Travis.

Oh well we don’t have to listen to his heehaw laugh or his condescending prattle……change stations time..easy.
I do like to listening to new stalk zb as it it gives me my update via Hosking on my way to work and the daily catchup via Larry on my way home.
I cannot get time to,listen to Leighton very much, and Danny thankfully is in the correct time slot for missing his show, so nothing really lost.
