What on earth was the woman in the wheelchair doing?

An investigation is underway after a train on the Kapiti Coast pulled away from a station while a woman in a wheel chair was still getting off.

The incident happened at around 7.30 yesterday morning as the woman attempted to get off at the Waikanae station.

A KiwiRail employee who was nearby quickly slammed on the emergency break, leaving the woman unharmed but shaken.

It’s highly inconsiderate to pull out while a woman is still getting off…

    • Random66

Exactly, the train needs to stay in the station for longer than a minute.
