An email from a hater

I received this email overnight, from a hater called Santagirl.

Fortunately she helpfully included her email address. Turns out she is english and media teacher Jennifer Ashby at Logan Park High School in Dunedin.

Here is what she emailed….unedited and verbatim…I’ll let commenters mark her for grammar and spelling.

Darling whale fat,

just read your latest profound missive on David Shearer, the panic is starting to show and not just yours this unease goes all the way to America and back.

Are you feeling threatened by this chap and his naive sincerity

Well that is not surprising cos it is soooo refreshing after a diet of smarmy insults and constant rewrites a la Orwell from you and your rich and social climbing pals.

Actually sweetie you need to watch your own rerun from Last weekend TV. Hardly eloquent and our Leader made such a great job of explaining the spending of Mighty. River dosh on bailing out the latestTrain Wreck Solid Energy. It is so obvious the National Party don’t read much certainly not enough to edit their own
sneaky black marks.

Oh yes Karma is a wonderful thing and you lot have a BIG list waiting in the wings.

Bye for now and sleep tight.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
