Big Baz the Kangaroo [UNCENSORED]

How ridiculous, Tourism Australia have censored a picture of Baz the Kangaroo reclining showing his nuts.

Uploaded to Facebook last Friday under the caption “Enjoying a lazy afternoon at Featherdale Wildlife Park *Censored for Facebook”, the image now has over 1500 comments.

Many of the individuals who left comments on the picture expressed their disapproval at a wild animal’s genitals being censored for the public.

“Censored for Facebook. You have just lost ALL my respect … I was brought up in my teens in Australia. You do not represent the Australia I knew and loved”.

Others retaliated by posted images of kangaroos or of their own pets without pixilation.

Despite the concern of some Facebook users, the picture of “Big Baz” gained over 30,000 likes and 5,000 shares.

Tourism Australia is the Aussie equivalent of Visit England, a government-run agency that exists to promote Australia to the world.

A spokesman for Tourism Australia told The Australian: “Anybody who’s familiar with our Facebook page knows we like to have a bit of fun with our posts and when Featherdale Wildlife Park sent us this cracker of a photo we just couldn’t resist sharing it with our fans – in all of its magnificent glory. Or nearly all!”

Here is Big Baz uncensored, from the Featherdale Wildlife Park Facebook page.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.
