Compare and Contrast [VIDEO]

In light of John Key’s highly acclaimed appearance on Campbell Live this week, I thought I’d pull together a few excerpts from David Shearer’s last contribution to Parliament.

Here he is speaking in Parliament on the Fonterra milk powder scare.

    Now that’s funny…

    • Rusty B

      Isn’t he a fuckwit!

  • In Vino Veritas

Cruel. So very cruel. But on the other hand, funny, so very funny.

    • Shoreboy57

      shooting fish in a barrel

      • Bad__Cat

Wicked! I might just have to complain to the SPCA.

  • Sponge

Could they not find something a bit less offensive to sit behind him?

  • stephen2d

I struggled not hitting my head against my desk and listening. Lasted 25 seconds.

  • kevin

Even the audience sitting behind shearer look slightly embarassed… lol

  • johnbronkhorst

I know it’s a bit picky and he is a poor orator!!
BUT, editing it to make him sound even worse?
You can tell by watching “tape” roll round with the word “URGENT DEBATE” on it. It is very jerky and looks edited!

    • SJ00

Cam saves us from having to watch 8 minutes or so of that dribble.
Yes it is highly edited, but how many times did he get the words he was supposed to say, wrong? Its like he tried to memorize the speech and doesn’t believe what he is saying. Its painful to watch, but can you imagine JK doing a campbell on him in a leaders debate. I think he would cry and actually would feel sorry for Shearer. JK without even trying would be all over him and could end up looking like a bully without even meaning to.

  • Pita

Just the sort of person John Campbell loves to interview… puts words in his mouth and nods wisely when the ventriloquists dummy agrees.

  • richard.b

Robertson looked like one of those bobble heads you see in the back windows of cars.

  • Rodger T

That gollum behind him was trying its utmost not to reach over and pop his head off his shoulders.

  • Cadwallader

He should stick to what other Labia MPs do and talk out of his arse!

  • RightOfGenghis

It’s happy hour, why not. This from the Standard…

Absolutely, Keys a light-weight and Shearer will have no problems showing how inept Key really is in the election debates

  • Col

Curry powder I got that, must have picked that up in India, makes you have speech problems as we can see. This here is a fine example by Cam.

  • FlungDung

I cant understand him. He needs an interpreter, perhaps David Cunliffe?

  • WayneO

I am so looking forward to the election next year. The leaders debates will be priceless.

  • Lion_ess

Wicked Cameron .. what’d he say again?

  • JeffDaRef

Check out Goff and Fenton – their expressions are saying “God help us”…

  • Michael

John Key vs David Shearer, first head to head leaders debate for the 2014 election. Game over for Labour until 2017.

  • David

LOL!!! Thank you Whale, that is the best laugh I’ve had for a long time. What a jackass, easily the worst public speaker I have ever heard. I love the “global country, er… company.” Can’t wait for the televised leaders’ debates.
