Since he cannot lie, can David Cunliffe please confirm this?

Yesterday we found out that David Cunliffe says he cannot lie, but appears to have lied over several things.

The ABC people ahve pointed me at some other video footage that needs some scrutiny.

He has also made some statements over asset sales and his willingness to buy them back.

I wonder perhaps of the media might like to se if he still holds these views.

this guy is a snake oil salesman.

    • Phar Lap

      Goes with his” snake eyes”.

    • blokeintakapuna

That’s rather unfair to all the salesman out there… successful, sustainable sales is a very hard job (depending on the industry/product)

    • Harry B’Stard

      he’s not that good

    • dianne65

      A revolting one at that.

    • Salacious T Crumb

That, Sir, is very disrespectful to all the honest snake oil salesmen out there….

  • metalnwood

Would have liked to have heard his answer to ‘Is this a smart use of money’

    • JeffDaRef

It would be a long answer, because it would need to applied to all the hare-brained crap they’ve thrown money at over they ears…

    • cows4me

Wouldn’t matter, it’s not his money he’ll be using. Just another commie in a cheap suit.

  • opusx

I have no problem with anyone who is self-serving…just be it by being self-made. Heck, if it takes a bit of mongrel to get what your after by being self made…and you’re not really hurting anyone in the process…then I salute you. But if you are self-serving and you’re doing it on the tax/rate payer, then don’t expect any respect from those you profess to serve.

    • Ducky

yes, it’s the labia’s and green talibans mentallity that if you are self-made through your own hardwork, then you must be a Bourgeois capitalist
and must be chopped down to their pathetic lowlife level, ie use tax payers money for their pig’s trough.

  • Justsayn

Sadly, Mr T only says the would consider it, or “look very hard at it”.

Like good polly speak, he sounds decisive be says nothing.

  • Whafe

It is all good fodd that he is feeding the very people he wants to vote for him, and he will be gaining zero traction….. Keep up the lying Silent T, you are the gift that keeps on giving, you fit well with Liabour

  • kevin

cunliffe is certainly coming over as really desperate to be the ‘dear leader’… anything goes so long as he makes it first over the line.

    • shewolf

Yep – agree Kevin but I bet the labour sheeples don’t see through it and pick him as the new leader. He’s power hungry, desperate, wants to be prime minister and using labour to get there. Not my choice but then its a bit irrelevant since I don’t belong to the labour party (or any party for that matter). I just don’t trust him in anyway, shape or form.

  • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Just spoke to Currtleaf on my Coconut & String mobile. Curryleaf tells me that his rich prick tax will bring in enough money to buy back assets. He is also saying that his policy of buy back assets will ensure Winnie the Poo will be on his side. He also let me know that he is cleverer than John Key.

    • CheesyEarWax

Did he tell you which rich pricks SCS? Is it anyone who lives in Herne Bay, drives a beamer, and wears better suits than him?

      • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

“Rich pricks are those who earn more than $60,000” – Sir Michael Cullen, the dumbest Finance Minister NZ ever had.

        • Patrick

Those that earn more than $60k and are not clever enough to work through Trusts etc & shelter their earnings & assets from the taxman. I suspect most of those Labour politicians advocating higher taxes have their “affairs in order”, it wouldn’t be right to expect they would also contribute to a so called “fairer society.”

          • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Yes, that is correct. It is the hard working, honest Kiwi bloke who will end up paying the rich prick tax.

      • slade52

Probably some neighbour that pissed him off

  • lou

So glad he is going to give it a hard look by staring down the barrel. Is it just me or didn’t he say anything.

To be serious – he is going to give it the hard look. And then the share price is going to go up, he is going to pay more for it than what its worth and use money that was supposed to be spent on rebuilding Christchurch, or adding roads to Auckland, or build schools and hospitals for the poor to pay for them, or what the hell – just tax the +$70k rich National voters people so that the flow to Oz can restart.

And somebody should explain to him what the word Nationalise means – what happens to economies e.g. Zim when governments start nationalising.

He doesn’t read this does he?

  • old shunter

well did you all see that one on TV3 last night about Mr Douglas and his economics and the long term impact of it Labour would have not liked some of the content but the whole argument for a level income for all was beginning to sound like a sales pitch for a communist party.

  • Steve R

I don’t think we’ll ned to worry about this anytime soon . Once the liebour leader campaign really gets underway it will show out the gutter politics that they use for all to see . Lucky for us , the damage to the party will illiminate them from the election .

  • johnbronkhorst

Note…he didn’t say “buy them” he said “Nationalise some of them” which means take or STEAL them from their current owners!!!
