Union ratbags still breaking the law

Maritime Union of New Zealand

The law requires that registered unions file annual accounts with the Registrar of Societies. Yet again the Maritime Union is failing in its obligations.

It is getting way past time that something was done about these ratbag unions who fail to follow simple registration and filing requirements. Repeated offences should lead to de-registration.

The Maritime Union still hasn’t file their 2012 accounts.

Furthermore their March 2013 accounts should be at least filed by now as well.

Observation by the Owl

The process is so simple – why do they continuously ignore such a simple simple simple simple simple simple simple simple task.

SIMPLE stuff, really.

What is needed now is for the Govt to have a BLITZ on these unions in the run up to the elections

      Give them enough rope….

When will you guys understand that NZ laws don’t apply for unions? Ask my uncle Matt Vomit McCarten. He will tell ya. Just move on with other topics.

The left were really keen to roast Peter Dunne over UF’s cock up over membership returns, so I’m sure they’ll be keen to ensure that the unions stick by the administrative letter of the law as well.

I suggest you give Russell and the Labour leadership candidates a call. They’re bound to want to put a stop to this.

They’ve got good connections amongst the brothers, I understand, so they should be well placed to help sort out what must be a genuine misunderstanding.
