Labour divided, Mahuta spills

Don’t underestimate the Maori politics that are playing out right now within Labour.

Shane Jones’ decision to run as #laboursgottalent Contestant #2 has split the Labour Maori Caucus.

Nanaia Mahuta (backing Cunliffe) is not afraid to admit it..

What I also thought was fascinating, is that Grant Robertson says he is ‘related’ to Parekua Horomia through his partner Alf. You know, the one he doesn’t like to admit to – except when it suits?

For the record, Robertson wants to extend the target for settling historic Treaty claims from next year to 2020, and he also wants to make the Police Commissioner apologise to Tuhoe for the Uruwera raids.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him, you can’t ignore him.
