NZ’s Dodgiest LBP Nominee – Warren Flaunty

Warren-Flaunty--NZH

Warren Flaunty is a veteran trougher who stands and somehow gets elected to multiple boards. He is a pharmacist, a JP and also a menace on the roads. He has been convicted of dangerous driving causing death after he ran over a motorcyclist.

Warren Flaunty was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay $20,000 reparation after being sentenced in the North Shore District Court yesterday for careless driving causing the death of motorcyclist Blair Titmus.

Flaunty – a pharmacist, Waitemata District Health Board member, Henderson-Massey Local Board member and former chairman of the Waitakere Licensing Trust – pleaded guilty but applied for a discharge without conviction, arguing that if convicted, he would lose his position on the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal.

Once again he is standing for multiple boards.

Auckland Council – Henderson-Massey Local Board

Auckland Council – Rodney Local Board – Kumeu Subdivision

Waitakere Licensing Trust Ward 2 – Lincoln

Oh how entitled this ratbag is…he kills a man on the roads and he lobbies successfully to not be convicted. All the signs once again of excessive narcissism.

Ratbags like this should not be allowed to stands. Neither should convicted drunk drivers.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him, you can’t ignore him.
