Obama’s Birth Certificate and David Cunliffe’s timesheet [UPDATED]

Here is what some of my smart readers picked up on

Daniel says:

I especially like the default Microsoft Excel file name “Book1”, like someone has just hastily created this document.

to which John Bronkhorst replies

Well spotted.

Where do you suppose a company files this information (for tax purposes).

“book1” could apply to ANY of their employees! Surely it would be labelled (if true) with his NAME.

Smart, aren’t they?

Whaleoil readers are just the best.

UPDATE:   Hamilton Lad adds:

Check this …..

excel needs a filename. book1 is just the default name that excel gives a new file when you start a new sheet. excel will ask you to give it a new name when you save it for the 1st time.

So this document wasn’t saved in a way that was intended to give it meaningful identity. Implication, the file was created to allow a screen shot to be taken – and then dumped without saving.

Perhaps because the document metadata would reveal much more than we are seeing.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
