These catholic ratbags are slow learners

The head of the Catholic Church in Poland has blamed kids for the predations of the pervert pedo priests.

These boy buggering bastards just never learn.

The leader of Poland’s Catholic Church has come under a wave of condemnation by appearing to suggest that children are partly to blame for being sexually abused by priests.

Archbishop Jozef Michalik, head of Poland’s influential Episcopate, was commenting this month on revelations about Polish pedophile priests. A child from a troubled family, Michalik told reporters, “seeks closeness with others and may get lost and may get the other person involved, too.”

The words triggered an immediate uproar — one that Michalik tried to stamp out the same day by apologizing and saying he had been misunderstood. He had not, he said, meant to suggest that child victims were in any way responsible.

But the damage was done.

Ordinary citizens joined prominent politicians in expressing outrage, and intense debate continues more than two weeks later. The media pointed out that Michalik had supported a parish priest convicted in 2004 of child sex abuse, and one of the priest’s victims said she was horrified by Michalik’s latest remarks.

“Archbishop Michalik’s words make us feel fear and revulsion,” Ewa Orlowska said.

The archbishop’s comments forced the Episcopate’s spokesman, the Rev. Jozef Kloch, to state that Poland’s church has “zero tolerance” for pedophilia but that it needs to learn how to approach and talk about the matter. The controversy has since led bishops under Michalik to apologize for “priests who have harmed children.”

Catholics aye…what are ya gonna do?

The Catholic Church has a lot to answer for and the silence amongst most Catholics is deafening.
My Paternal grandfather was a Catholic who married a protestant, my father thankfully rejected the Catholic church , which I am eternally grateful for (ignoring any variance in faith matters) because it means I never came within arms length of a catholic priest…until the church takes boy buggering seriously and actively rids itself of not just the guilty priests but the culture around child abuse you have to seriously question any parent who would expose their children to the risk that is the catholic priesthood

I think the mentality is “It won’t happen here”..

Doesn’t matter which particular flavour of magic flying guy in the sky you happen to choose – religion is BAD, BAD, BAD.

      • Ryan

Agreed and i’ve seen stuff in the Internet saying religion is a cancer on humanity and is holding us back.

I thought a priest’s ‘stock in trade’ was to be able to help people from troubled backgrounds. I also thought part of a priest’s training was on how to resist and neutralise the work of the devil. So if a priest is properly trained, and the seven years in the seminary gives plenty of time for this, he should be ‘devil resistant’.

    • Kopua Cowboy

      Decent priests, trained and skilled?

    • Jimmie

Trouble is they don’t see kiddie fiddling as ‘the work of the devil’ they see it as ‘sharing God’s love”. Sick freaks

      • Ryan

Indeed they are sick freaks and should be put down like a sick dog.

I have always maintained “Religion is the last refuge for mongrels”

    • Sponge

I remember getting caned at school for telling the Chaplin that “religion is the refuge of the insecure”.

  • Brian of Mt Wellington

Sounds like the same religion that Liar Len aspires to. Blame someone else not the main instigator.

  • Ryan

Yeah the child abusing Catholic priests and The Church itself have alot to answer for and as a matter of fact Karl Marx said”religion is the opiate of the masses” and he definitely got it right.
