The Mayor’s lunchtime “re-connecting with the people of Auckland” event will be an informal affair.

ACC are inviting all staff to a Mass staff “Get-together/Orgy” in the Town Hall this lunchtime to show solidarity for the embattled Mayor that has done nothing wrong.

Because you will all be following the Mayor’s examples – no disciplinary recourse about any of the day will happen, so feel free to follow the Mayor’s examples with impunity… and wild abandon!

The Greens are kicking off the festivities with appropriate Reggae music because they say it’s always twenty past 4pm – (what ever that means?) …and Boobs on Bikes will make a guest appearance to help get everyone in the right mood for festivities.

Metiria Turei has even offered to do an impromptu fashion parade on the front stairs – which will also help those that are often too eager after viewing the bikes…

Local Maori will put on a Powhiri in recognition of the Mayor’s Mana and what he’s delivered for them in the Ngati Whatua room. The Asian community are providing free 2 minute noodles – in the Town Hall & motel rooms of Sky City afterwards – avoid the Mayor-onaisse though – supposedly it’s filled with blue cheese.

A Gold Coin donation upon entry is being asked by way of donation – that will go directly to the cleaners – once GST, FBT, Rates, parking fees, administration fees and a small donation to the Mayor’s Fund has been deducted.

Tables are limited to only those who have brought access. First served – first cum. Those who are even a few minutes late will miss all the action – so reserve your seat NOW!

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.
