Welcome to the daily post where the comments are open for you to start your own topics.

If you like to debate something, but you don’t know what, let’s try this

If you could know within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy your baby wouldn’t be physically healthy, would you terminate?

Only if the pregnancy spoken of is the Auckland Mayoralty.

Not wanting to change the past, and having to have tested in this time frame in a second incident. That is a most definite yes. I love my son but watching him die in life is fricken hard. Not that it was my choice at all anyway

Just been reading front page of Wellington Doom Post. Two of their novice reporters in their haste to put the boot into John Banks and the National Party ,have got it wrong……again.Ms Vance from the now defunct News of The World in England, seems to think she is still employed by them. Her debatable headline.Banks quits as Minister ahead of” fraud” trial. She,in her haste left out the word” Alleged” fraud.Further down the page her partner in confusion,a woman called Watkins, puts the boot into the Nats, also blaming the police for letting the allegations of alleged fraud not being followed up.Her words” how did they get it so wrong”?As once more her words.”THE HIGH COURT RULING” Wonder where she is coming could she get it so wrong, the case has never been to the High Court..Maybe the two junior reporters should quit, and do something useful.

News Of World Scotland I believe

Yes, without question. My wife is 8 months pregnant with our first and we have had this discussion, albeit a difficult one. We will be getting an amnio prenatal test when we are able to. This does carry a very small chance of miscarriage (about 2% I believe) but we would rather take that test which picks up neural tube defects, downs syndrome, cystic fibrosis etc then not know and not be prepared for what may lay ahead.

    • DangerMice

Amnios are usually done between 16 & 22 weeks. You say your wife is 8 months?

      • euanme3

        weeks. typo

I read somewhere in the media that Len Brown should be judged on his achievements, which to me on the shore seem to be:

20% rates increase plus wastewater charges with much more to come despite not living in a “posh” suburb
    potholes in the roads
    movies in the parks cancelled
road outside resurfaced with a worse surface than before
new more expensive user pays rubbish system to replace current user pays rubbish system
noise patrol that won’t do anything about continuously barking dogs
bin outside the dairy removed so presumably council doesn’t have to empty it (it took them a concrete cutter to do that)
    increased graffitti
filthy public toilets in Auckland city

Granted I don’t use many services but has he done anything at all other than steal from the shore?

    • snakebit

Yes, not sure whats going on.

    • Phar Lap

Yes been like that since 15 10 2013.What is going on.

    • BW_Lord

Someone mentioned yesterday that clearing the cache fixed it. Have done that a couple times now and it comes right.

      • Random66

Not sure what ‘clearing the cache’ means, but I also am having trouble with loading and commenting. My comment will take hours to show, if at all.

  • James Howlett

Depends on how tough you want to be when defining ‘physically healthy’ – but if it is a condition that is going to have significant, lasting, negative implications for them and the rest of your family then yes. If it’s just that they will be a ginga then I guess that’s ok.

  • snakebit

No. But then i have a god to answer too.

  • onelaw4all

Michelle Boag is now surely the Karl Rove of New Zealand politics.
Tactically woeful, and completely in the thrall of beltway statist mentality.

    • BW_Lord

I’m beginning to think she might be a plant from the left. Maybe a long game from Hulun.

She was one of the first who seemed to come out behind Len, saying he should come back from this. Plus the whole ACC thing?

      • Steve (North Shore)

Michelle Boag does not have fingerprints – never uses a nailfile for nails

If Len Brown resigns tomorrow instead of being sworn in, this could mean a new Election. Lets see who is involved in this confirmation of a new Mayor.
I say new Election and we see how Lying Len goes….
Oh new Mayoral candidate – Ms Bevan Chuang for Mayor.
Silly boy Len, you lost control
