Is Trevor in trouble?

Trevor Mallard seems to be in a spot of bother

On top of that there is this tweet from David Clark and response from Trevor Mallard.

So we have threats of expulsion for a single MP refusing to swear allegiance to David Cunliffe. A single MP missing from caucus…and trevor admitting it was him.

That will explain why he was cycling in Wellington yesterday while his “colleagues” were in Dunedin.

I think Trevor Mallard is about to get his beans…can’t wait…the fall out will be spectacular.

It makes me physically ill to think we pay for all these toughing sacks of shite… and that goes for most of the rest of the 120 as well with a couple of exceptions.

Oh and never forget LBIAFC !

  • Michael

    Popcorn at the ready.

  • ConwayCaptain

Then he will stand in the electorate as Independent Labour and split the vote and Andrew Little wont get in.

    • blokeintakapuna

      silver lining…

    • Michael

Sorry, I hadn’t considered that possibility.Mallard can have a sign on my front fence if that happens.

  • blokeintakapuna

Maybe Cunliffe didn’t get Mallard’s message – CU Next Tuesday…

  • Daniel Church

I would love to see Mallard’s membership revoked, but Mallard staying on as an Independent MP. He would be free to openly criticise and destabilise the Silent T and reveal all about Labour’s infighting. It would be hilarious.

  • Col

So apart from giving $35 million for TeamNZ which we thank him for, he is turning out to be a good guy at the end of all this.
House sits on the 15th 2pm can’t wait.

  • Time For Accountability

I have a bad dose of the flu.
Tell me where they are and I will go and infect them all.

    • blokeintakapuna

Dunedin – just don’t get infected yourself by some parasitic virus – just being near all the hot air and bullshit will make one want to vomit!

    • johnbronkhorst

Then sit well back from the screen….after all I don’t want to catch it!!

  • The fallout from this is going to be spectacular. As much as I dislike Trevor Mallard, he will have plenty of support in caucus if Cunliffe decides to expel him, and the dark forces of ABC will swiftly be rekindled.

  • johnbronkhorst

Tell me….did this caucus meeting in Dunedin, come at the expense of the taxpayer, if so why didn’t they use the room in parliament that we already supply and pay for?
The only Labour MP’s that should be allowed to travel to Dunedin on the taxpayer, are the local electorate MP’s.
After all, they are NOT the govt. and are therefore in Dunedin representing the Labour PARTY not the New Zealand tax payer!!!

    • longjohn

Absolutely. 110k tax payer paid junket!

  • Team ENZ

the people in Hutt south just loves ducky. he’s been there for a long time and if cuntface thinks he is going to get rid of ducky, I bet he will have a big surprise. me? I don’t like ducky myself, but if those two have a fight, I may choose ducky ..

    • johnbronkhorst

      Tight call.
Labour are desperate to get into power, so mallard might find himself ganged up on.
But it will still be a blood bath.

  • ConwayCaptain

How is this for a scenario?
1 They gang up on the Lame Duck and he is dumped as the Labour Candidate for Hutt South. He stands as Independent Labour and either wins or splits the Left Wing vote so much that National get in. Thus leaving Labour one member short.
2 Jacinda stands as a candidate and is chosen ahead of Shearer in Mt Albert. Shearer says Stuff this and stand as an Independent Labour Candidate and either wins or splits the vote so much Mt Albert goes National.

    • AnonWgtn

Shearer knows e is finished in Labour – too honest.
He will not stand in the General Election.
But little pony thinks that she is a shoe in (because Helen promised it to her recently) – but others with better Union associations have better ideas.

    • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Somehow the words “day dreaming” come to my mind…..

    • Patrick

Shearer doesn’t have the cojones, he will do as he is told. If he doesn’t Aunty will return from the UN & give him the bash.

  • Daniel

Why does David Clark have a picture of Colonel Sanders as his twitter avatar? I would understand Cunliffe having General Custer though.

    • Sooty

Why!!! Because the Labour party buy so much fried chicken for bribing the voters, they get wholesale rates. That’s why.

  • Sir Cullen’s Sidekick

Sorry to disappoint you all fellows. Spoke to my spies in Wainui. According to the sources, Duck will crawl and beg for apology in return for the speaker post when Curryleaf assumes power in 2014. Issue over. Get on with your tea and biscuit bros.

  • GazzW

So where are Trevor’s ‘mates’? Stand up for him Chippy – he’s supported and mentored you for years. It’s time to show a bit of solidarity and support or is your own personal agenda more important?

On a slightly different tack but I have been waiting for an opportunity to raise this without being shot down. I heard Trevor being interviewed by Deaker about the funding of Americas Cup. I have to say that I was impressed by his positivity and support for the government’s offer to conditionally partially fund the next challenge. Mallard had the handle on trade opportunities and offered some really good insight on Trade NZ’s activities in San Fran during the challenge. Maybe he knew about the looming dust up looming with Cunliffe. Could he be angling for the job as Minister of Sport as an Independent MP in the next National government?

    • johnbronkhorst

      Nice stirring!!!!

    • Team ENZ

ha ha, seems like when you are out in the outer nobody wants to know ducky…kissie hipkins “best” mate and not a peep of support to ducky…who needs friends when you have hipkins ..maybe ducky should switch camps and jump waka to nats???? ……

  • ConwayCaptain

If the Show Pony doesn’t get an electorate seat she will not have a Cabinet Posn if Silent T wins.

  • rightoverlabour

Maybe its my medication but in this scenario I am developing a soft spot for Mallard… I heard the radio interview mentioned above and came to the same conclusion. It was the first time I hear Mallard and agreed with him without any buts or ifs. I think he needs Whale Army support ,even if temporary, if causes bloodshed within the labia party. The enemy of my enemy is my friend and to quote Chuchill..”if Hitler invaded Hell, I would make at least a favourable reference to the Devil in the House of Commons” – ..

    • Agent BallSack

Did Churchill ever say anything that wasn’t a highly quotable soundbite?

      • sandynobb

And with remarkable prescience, Churchill had this to say about Shearer: “A sheep in sheep’s clothing.”

    • longjohn

mmm might need to change my medication to come to the same conclusion…However nothing better than an enemy in the enemy camp!

  • LionKing

Boom so much for Mallard becoming Speaker! back on ya bike ya tosser

  • longjohn

Never dismiss a wounded duck. He will flap and peck and scratch and make a general nuisance of himself until the last quack emits from his tiny beak!

  • Patrick

A fitting end to an assholes career.
