They will be banning hairy legged sheilas next

Something is dramatically wrong with the UK. Why is there even a fuss over chucking a couple of rule breaking muzzies out of school?

Two Muslim schoolboys barred from classes because they would not shave off their beards have now been sent home from their school.

Both 14-year-olds had been placed in “isolation” from the start of the new term at Mount Carmel Roman Catholic High School in Accrington, Lancashire.

Talks were held with the families of the two boys to resolve the problem but neither side backed down and the school has now decided the pupils can only return to school when they are clean-shaven.

Headteacher Xavier Bowers has stressed that the matter is not one of religion but about dress code.

You have to wonder why muslims are sending their children to a Catholic school

In a statement issued today, he said: “At Mount Carmel RC High School, we believe that it’s important to be clear about what we expect from students in all aspects of school life, including appearance and uniform.

“When disputes arise we do our best to deal with them in a reasonable and understanding manner and to resolve them to everyone’s satisfaction if at all possible.

“Pupils and parents are made aware of the rules on appearance and uniform before they start attending the school, know that they apply to everyone and are regularly reminded of this.”

Last week, Mr Bowers told the Lancashire Telegraph that the decision to place the boys in isolation had not been taken lightly.

Speaking to the newspaper, he said: “I have spent quite a lot of time researching the issue and speaking to Muslim elders.

“There is nothing specifically written in the Koran about wearing a beard. It is a choice those boys are making.

“However inclusive we are, we have standards to maintain.”

Sounds like a manufactured outrage to me.

  • When I was at high school all us guys had to be clean shaven.

If you were Muslim and you wanted to wear a beard, you went to the Muslim/Hindu school a few km’s away.

Teachers knew to leave me alone. I asked if my stubble affected my ability to learn, to which they said no. Then I asked if it affected the learning of others or the ability of teachers to teach, or was unsafe/harmful to which they said no. When the “rules are the rules” line came out, I would mention a recent teacher’s strike. I had excellent relationships with the good teachers who could actually teach and treated students like adults – I loved school. The teachers who were hopeless hated me because I saw straight through them.

      • redeye

        Treated students like adults?

How old were you when they treated you like an adult?

        • DLNZ

Sixteen. I was mature for my age – and yeah I probably did push the boundaries, but I would always do it with respect. But I was also trusted and responsible. I was always being called up to the office to fix the computer network that no-one knew anything about, and in my last two years of school I had a network account with admin rights because I used to do so much work for the teacher in charge of computing in my lunch-hour and after school.

Would never happen today… I’ve worked in a high school IT environment and there’s no way I’d ever give a student admin rights haha.

My son had to do a program in his computer class, he took all the computers down for 5 minutes no harm was done. I said to him about this and he said anyone can do it, I said why have they not done it then, he said they don’t know how.
He was told to get out of class, my friend said they should have asked him about checking the security, my son said yes I could do that for them but they can get stuffed and pay someone to do it.

It was a good thing when kids found loopholes in my last job. Kept me on my toes but didn’t happen very often. Unless it was deliberately malicious (i.e. a kid deleting someone else’s work) it wasn’t a big deal to me. Teachers would go nuts however – my feeling was that it was those kids who are likely to be the next Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg, not the ones quietly sitting there making their word documents look pretty.

  • In Vino Veritas

Yup. I had a mate at college that could grow a full beard in 24 hours….. Well, maybe not quite, but he seriously needed to shave every morning. And his parents were called to come and get him and take him home to shave if he forgot. Dress standards were just that, no exceptions.

When in Rome …… or go home.

    • LesleyNZ

      Very good!

  • Nechtan

Yes you do have to wonder why they opted for a Catholic school, I suspect just so they could play this (or a similar) card. After all the Catholic and Islamic religions do have some history.

  • cows4me

The school is on a hiding for nothing. No doubt the pussy whipped, politically correct crowd will be rolled out and the school will get a good dressing down for being culturally insensitive. Of course a couple of hate police will have to take up permanent residence at the school should some other poor muzzie be hassled. The kid should shape up or ship out.

That’s a pretty good read on Political Correctness UK style.

it is all about following the example of the prophet “:the perfect man”. These mandates can be found in the collections of ahadith “remembrances of what the prophet said and” did” basically. The two most reliable collections are those of Bukhara and muslim and amount to hundreds of thousands of recollections – scientifically sound recollections according to the “science of the ahadith”. They were then used ,as well as the Qur’an and Sira (the prophet’s biography) as the source for sharia law .

Interestingly enough, there is no such thing as “rape” in sharia – it is either adultery or fornication but if a woman can find four male muslim witnesses to swear they saw her being assaulted she will be pardoned. Like the prophet’s youngest and favourite wife Aisha – altho’ that revelation only came into being after gossip about the teenage girl’s behaviour with a young man his young wife had been left in the desert with. Aisha was never charged with adultery because of said revelation.

This why stoning for adultery, female circumcision, lengths of beards and trousers, the legal killing of their own and children’s children are included in sharia law, plus many other religious mandates that muslims follow that do not appear in the Qu’ran. Sharia law was written by the scholars centuries after the prophet died.

So when someone argues that this is not Islamic because it is not in the Qur’an you are being wilfully misled. Where do you think Islamic terrorists find their justification for beheadings, rapes etc. etc? They are only following the actions of their prophet found somewhere in the maze of the “Trinity”.

    • Muffin

      Interesting post

    • Bunswalla

Sounds very much like the bible – a series of fairy stories made up centuries after the events they purport to describe, in a tiny corner of the planet ignoring other civilisations that had been in place for centuries.

      • Kiwi

        Exactly!

You have to wonder why muslims are sending their children to a Catholic school

No doubt because it is the best school. These folks are happy to send their kids where they can get the best education but want to be excluded from some of the rules that make the school what it is. Kind of a “have your cake & eat it” scenario.
All power to the school, the rules were in place all along & if they don’t want to abide by the rules then take wee Mohammed & his buddy elsewhere.

  • blairmulholland

The UK is already under sharia. You can’t legally say anything bad about Muslims without being charged with a crime. I’ve come to the view that Western liberalism is wasted on them, and extreme prejudice is the only thing they understand.

    • David Tocker

Why should we say anything bad about Muslims? A quarter of the world is Muslim and quite happy to stay at home and not blow each other (or us) up. It is like saying that all Catholics are awful because some priests fiddled with kids.

      • Team ENZ

no we don’t say all catholics are bad , only the pedo priests.are .but in the muslim world you cannot even have the right to criticise the imans who preach violence or suicide bombings as you will be targeted next.

        • David Tocker

That is sadly correct – for that 20% or so of Muslims that live in the Middle-East / Northern Africa and follow that creed or have it forced upon them. the other 80% of the Muslim people in the world mostly just do their thing without being c*%ts. Personally I think they need to have a bit of a rebranding exercise for their religion as it has a pretty bad reputation.

          • Kopua Cowboy

I reckon they’re where the Catholics were 500 odd years ago. They just need 500 more years to sort their shit out and they’ll be hugging gays with the best of them!

      • blairmulholland

But I don’t think they are quite happy to do that, not the ones who are serious about their faith anyway. They have a 1400 year history of doing the opposite – waging jihad. Christians in Syria have recently found out just how “tolerant” and “enlightened” their Muslim neighbours are. The Serbs of Kosovo and Bosnia found that out a few years back too.

Islam requires adherents to be intolerant and – at best – treat non-Muslims like second-class citizens. That’s what it’s about. That’s not to say “all Muslims are bad”. It just means we should be aware of what Islam is, and not give it the benefit of Western liberalism, because Islam is incompatible with it. Ultimately they see liberalism as simply an opportunity afforded them to reduce the freedoms of others.

  • SteveWrathall

Why for that matter is muslim headgear allowed in NZ schools? There is a uniform code. No-one else is allowed to wear a cap proclaiming their adherence to ouija boards, tarot cards or the flying spaghetti monster.

  • Team ENZ

First they migrate to a western country because they do not like what is happening in their own country with sharia law , now they want their new country to adopt sharia law WTF!

  • LesleyNZ

Shave the beards. Clean shaven it is! They don’t have to go to a Catholic school.

  • Mark

I’m pretty impressed that the two Allahu Snackbars were able to grow beards at the age of 14. I only had wispy bumfluff growing between my zits at that age.

    • kehua

4th year 5th Formers otherwise known as the 1st XV were pretty common in the Central North Island during the 70`s.

  • David Tocker

Don’t see the big deal really – exceptions can be made for anything especially if there is no real effect on anyone in allowing the exception. Sikh people tend to be lovely and no one tells them to take off their turbans, so why should Muslim people have to shave off their beards? In any case racist rednecks out there should like the idea of being able to identify the ‘terrorists’ instantly. If you think about it a lack of tolerance is most closely identified with those ‘nanny/socialist’ states that most people that post on this blog do not want our country to become… Think China, North Korea, (USA, Australia?)….

    • SteveWrathall

Islam is not a race, because anyone can leave islam…..right?

      • David Tocker

Too true, however those in the middle-east may have a few technical difficulties with the leaving process.. Probably no worse that trying to leave scientology however :)

        • SteveWrathall

Rubbish. Leaving Scientology merely means being ostracized by those remaining (a bad thing?). Leaving Islam is explicitly punishable by law in

          Iran – illegal (death penalty)[13][14][15]

          Egypt – illegal (3 years’ imprisonment)[15]

          Pakistan – illegal (death penalty[15] since 2007)

United Arab Emirates – illegal (3 years’ imprisonment, flogging)[16]

          Somalia – illegal (death penalty)[17]

Afghanistan – illegal (death penalty, although the U.S. and other coalition members have put pressure that has prevented recent executions)[18][19]

Saudi Arabia – illegal (death penalty, although there have been no recently reported executions)[15][20]

Sudan – illegal (death penalty, although there have only been recent reports of torture, and not of execution)[21][22]

          Qatar – illegal (death penalty)[23]

          Yemen – illegal (death penalty)[23]

Malaysia – illegal in five of 13 states (fine, imprisonment, and flogging)[24][25]

Mauritania – illegal (death penalty if still apostate after 3 days)[26]

Morocco – illegal to proselytise conversion (15 years’ imprisonment)[27]

Jordan – possibly illegal (fine, jail, child custody loss, marriage annulment) although officials claim otherwise, convictions are recorded for apostasy[28][29][30]

Oman – legal in criminal code, but according to the family code, a father can lose custody of his child[31]

          • blairmulholland

Leaving Scientology means a little more than that. Intimidation, harassment, they probably won’t stone you to death, but they’ll try very hard to make you wish you were dead. It’s the same thing. I’m afraid I disagree with both of you. Renouncing either faith is a big deal, and very hard to do no matter where you live.

If I renounced Christianity, the worst I’d probably get is having someone tell me they’re praying for me.

  • Arran Hunt

We had a guy at high school (a certain private school on the North Shore) who had dredlocks that he was allegedly allowed to keep as he told the school he was Buddhist and they were part of his religion. I guess the school had never seen a Buddhist monk.

    • Team ENZ

ha ha ha ha.. never laugh so much…

  • drummerboy

Bloody Muslims. If you don’t like western Judaea Christian based society and it’s rules you can piss off back to your sandbox.
