Proud to be union, not too proud to park on yellow lines

via the tipline

At Napier airport monday morning 4th November at 8am , when he saw me take photo he took off…

Shame we didn’t get the number plate, though there can’t be that many SWFU sign written cars in Napier.

As it happens it would appear to be Thomas O’Neill the SFWU organiser for Gisborne and Hawkes Bay.

The question must be asked, strictly for union members info of course!

Why was he at the airport, which union official was he providing taxi services for, or was he providing taxi services for a Visiting Labour dignitary ?

Members need to be aware their funds are being spent this way, and that the union SHOULD be using a much smaller, more efficient and far cheaper car. Better still, get with technology and run all meetings over Skype

Isn’t it funny that unions have gone soo far away from protecting workers to just feathering their political ambitions that as soon as I see anyone with anything to do with a union I just assume they are scum.

That is because property owners are in the ‘Boss’ class and are capitalist exploiters – as is the company that painted the lines; and the Council that brought in the by law was just doing so to grind the workers down.

You just wait Comrades! when we come to power the working class can park anywhere they like!

(but first, keep paying those membership fees so I can drive around in a posh car helping your brothers enslaved by capitalist bosses – oh and my credit card for expenses, and my travel allowance)

“He’s been taken to the Hospital”
      “The Hospital, what is it”
“Well, its a tall building with sick people in, but thats not important right now”

Don’t know why you bother considering the laws of the land only apply to lefties when it suits them.

Far be it for me to condone this sort of behaviour but…

I’ve done it; you’ve done it; in company cars and in not.

If someone told me off while I was sitting on yellow lines momentarily, 1) that someone would be a Labour supporter, and 2) I would probably get into an argument with them about their personal levels of morality and passively aggressively suggest that person fiddle with kids and drives drunk.

    TL:DR so what

No mate, I either parked and went inside to greet my guest personally, or if I knew them well, would park approx. 2 minutes away, and get them to text once off the plane, i would then drive past to collect them. It’s called consideration.
PS: Do that at either Auck, Wgtn, or Dunedin airport and an immediate ticket ensues

Why do unionists have to remind each other they are “proud to be union”?

    • blokeintakapuna

it’s the same reason why they have name badges… so they don’t forget… and if they do…

I will make sure I get the rego next time….
