The supreme arrogance, vanity and psychopathy of Mayor Len Brown

Len Brown

Len Brown refuses to stand down for his poor judgment, his misuse of council property, resources and staff, not to mention his abuse of his position and power as Mayor.

He thinks this can all be swept under the carpet and we will all forget. He claims he made a mistake…a mistake he made constantly over two years but a mistake nonetheless.

Well let me recount the tale of this visit to a local shopping centre near where I live. There is a gym, a barber, a couple of convenience stores, a Subway, a Coffee Club, a couple of law firms, a few restaurants, a pizza hop and a takeaways…it is a small suburban shopping centre on a main thoroughfare in a growing area.

Many of the store owners and staff are incredibly friendly and make people feel welcome and loved. Consequently the car-parks are full, the shops busy and there is a little buzz going on there most times. I like to stop in and chat with a few store owners…and consider some of them my friends.

On Thursday evening one store owner recounts that a man in a suit popped into his store. It was Mayor Len Brown’s driver. they know this because the prat told them and wanted to inform them that the Mayor was down having a coffee at the Coffee Club. They were incredulous…what on earth would possess both Len Brown and the driver to act in such a manner?

Well the owner decided to pop down and see what was up…there was Len Brown, sitting by himself having a coffee…and people walking past remonstrating through the window, standing around sniggering or worse talking loudly about what a disgrace he was and how he should resign. No one wanted to be seen with the sad little half man called Len Brown.

I recount this story not because it is sad…it is…but to show how arrogant, vain and psychopathic this man is and has become. It is sad, that the mayor is a laughing stock…but he only has himself to blame.

But his arrogance and vanity at sending his driver around the stores is truly astonishing.

He really is No Shame Lenny B.

Someone needs to remake this song for me…All I need is the audio and I will make the video.

Maybe I’m missing something here, but what’s the issue?

    • TLL

do you have to tell people to tell other people about your presence?

      • Max

Maybe he had a few $150 leather satchels spare to sell.
Gotta be careful now that he and Hulse control the purse strings in council.
I wonder if Cameron Brewer and Dick Quax got one?

    • Lion_ess

Oh well, I guess he was just having a coffee with “his god” – you know, Mr Invisible.

      • Statehousekid

No he was waiting for his next mistress to turn up.

        • opusx

C’mon man, she was already there…under the table.

          • pukakidon

Was crap talking Campbell there as well!

          • andrew carrot

Campbell is never seen left of Herne Bay, right of Parnell or either side of the corridor leading to Auckland International Airport.

      • Orange

his god is very visible. He sees him whenever he looks in a mirror.

    • Reid

Imagine you’d done what he’s done then daring to show your face in public as if it never happened. What sort of person would act like that? That’s the issue.

      • Chancey

someone who has been told not to come back home?

        • dyannt

          Kicked out of Honeysuckle Lane?

          • Chancey

nor room at the Polkinghorne Bay lodge

    • Chancey

Beg people to come and have a coffee with him – so that he can say most Aucklanders approve of him and just want to move on

  • Chancey

Well there is an opportunity here for people to video such displays of grass roots abhorrence for this disgusting little man – I certainly will be when I come across him. People should also be asking him the questions MSM refuse to – bring on mayor in the chair

  • blokeintakapuna

Next he’ll be selling audiences with him for $1500 a turn… Or for 2minutes of your time on his casting couch.

    • pukakidon

One on one meetings will be held in the Ngti-Whatua room.

  • dilligaf2013

Hollyowod might have had the 6 million dollar man, but Auckland only gets the two minute man

  • muffinmclay

LBIAFC I am going to pay my next rates bill by cheque and make it out to the “cheating little turd”

    • blokeintakapuna

Corrupt crony abuser of elected power, would be much more fitting…

    • Bunswalla

You’re going to have to narrow it down a little

      • Chancey

        cunt auckland

    • pukakidon

Or maybe pay online and put in the reference portion – “Cheating Liar fund”

    • Chancey

I’m going to address mine correctly for the next quarter, but write “in full and final settlement for AC Rates to end of 2014” they never read the back – banking them is acceptance of the conditions written on the back of the cheque.

  • Mrbadger

LBIAFC but it’s starting to grate me that you have not delivered the coup de grâce Cameron. Please put him out of our misery.

    • Steve R

I recon. Cameron Slater is the ultimate cock tease.

      • opusx

Foreplay is good for the soul. Some may call it edging;-)

  • Steve R

I’m amazed he went anywhere near where you live. Maybe he was waiting for that free coffee you owe him for his help at keeping WO on top .

  • peterwn

… all compared with John Key’s visit to a Christchurch shopping mall the other day where he got a rock star reception.

At least Len did not have to worry about pesky TV reporters bugging the joint.

    • opusx

JK is a rock star, Len is a pebble.

      • blokeintakapuna

        Sledge of the day…

  • opusx

Len still hasn’t replied to me on my Council tour proposal. Funny that, it was even forwarded to him by the Council written comms advisor.

I would gladly sit next to this prick for a coffee, I’m pretty sure he would leave before I finished my first sentence. No true Aucklander should miss the opportunity to verbally dress the little man down if the opportunity presents itself.

    • andrew carrot

A while ago old Asian men genuflecting in public raised the ire of many a blue rinser. I’m sure those ladies would accept that a few dollars of Council money spent on a sign to hang around Lens neck that says, in Mandarin, “I’m a spittoon” would be money well spent.

  • conwaycaptain

What this little twerp needs is for someone who has been in the military to stand in front of him in a public place and “dress him down”. The most effective way to do this is not to shout but to do it in a quiet way that he and others can hear and not to swear or use offensive language but a good command of English.
I have seen this done and the person comes out feeling small and diminished.

    • The mayor IS small and diminished…that said I once got dressed down by a WO…he had half an ear, chewed off in a fight…how do I know…he was that close all I could is stare at his ear….which got me even more of a dressing down….learned march pretty smartly after that.

      • opusx

Boot camp for troubled teens Cam?

      • conwaycaptain

At age 14 went on a course at Whale Island, HMS Excellent RN Gunnery School. That was in the days when they had a parade ground about 1 mile all the way round and the punishment was to double round it with a No 4 .303 Lee Enfield above your head.
First time I had come face to face with a Chief GI. Boots you could see your face in, trouser creases so sharp you would cut your fingers. Pace Sticks under the arm and a voice like THUNDER that could be heard from one end of the parade ground to another.
Officers under instruction called them Sir and they called them Sir, but the inflection they could put into that word summed up what they thought about some of the O.U.I’s.
These men would make a Guards RSM look scruffy!!!!

        • Dave

Captain, Whale Island sounds like the training division of Whale Oil Beef Hooked!! I think its time to send Len Brown there, he needs 25 years of training to correct his devious ways.

          • conwaycaptain

            Dave
The Holy of Holies of the RN Gunnery School, the Parade Ground has been built over as the RN moved departments into WI where C in C Fleet is and it is known as the Sir Henry Leach Building. Apparently there is a small area kept as a reminder of times past.
I wore out a pair of boots in a week there. EVERYONE Lt Cmdr and under Doubled everywhere.
The GIs used to say “I call you sir and you call me sir the only difference is you mean it and I bloody well don’t. Pick your feet up Siiiiiiirrrrrrr!!!

          • conwaycaptain

            Dave
Len would not last a day there. He would be a shivering wreck after the gentle ministrations of a Chief Gunnery Instructor.

    • Tom

Sir Jerry would probably be ideal.

      • Kopua Cowboy

I’m pretty sure the GG wouldn’t consider that a worthy use of his time…

If you need a volunteer, I am that man, and believe me, I can do it!

      • blokeintakapuna

Pics or it didn’t happen. You’ll find him in the Mayors office…or the Town Hall…

        • Dave

Bart – Admiration – go for it, suggest an iphone or similar and record the entire saga. Would love to see Mr Brown squirm and try fobbing you off.

    • Bart67

That has me thinking, every April 25th, at the Dawn Service, the Mayor of Auckland lays a wreath on behalf of the people of Auckland, in front of rows of former and current Servicemen and Servicewomen. I wonder if Len has the balls, has the audacity, to front on that day, on that service, in front of many people who would much rather he stayed home, and did not sully such a solemn occasion with his presence!

  • conwaycaptain

Further to my last post any RN or RNZN Chief GI’s or RNZIR RSM’s available???

    Sad sad Lenny Brown
Saddest man in the whole damn town
    Sadder than Kim Dotcom
But we won’t be sad when he is gone.

    Bill.

    • BR

      I have some more.

      Chorus
      Sad sad Lenny Brown
Saddest man in the whole damn town
      Sadder than Kim Dotcom
But we won’t be sad when he is gone.

      Now Lenny was a wanker
He had his hand on it all the time
But when he got caught with his trousers down
      He pretended everything was fine

      Chorus

Now Lenny was in a coffee shop
He was sitting all by himself
Where he found that everyone around
Was making jokes about his mental health

      Chorus.

      Bill.

      P.S. Feel free to contribute.

  • Reid

Apart from the shamelessness of it, it’s an interesting way to operate isn’t it. Instead of doing what normal politicians do which is walk into each shop he buys himself a ratepayer funded treat and holds court, awaiting the adoring masses.

What’s the bet he was ready to stand up and walk away the second anyone started discussing “the issue.” Probably in his mind, that’s all ancient history and he’s the main victim in it anyway but in a sign of his immense bigness, he wouldn’t deign to play the victim card, he’s much better than that.

  • Bob

Photo caption – Len steps out of his office to meet the public after having a wank at his desk.

    • Honki

      fnarr fnarr

    • Chancey

      heres the image

      • Dave

Yes Len, that’s what EVERYONE is saying these days, EXIT STAGE LEFT now Len, yes, NOW. No need to get red in the face, just go.

    • GeorgeRomero

Everyone who shakes his hand from now on should remember that too.
We need a photo competition of people’s faces, when shaking the hand of mayor len Wanker brown

    • andrew carrot

Note that he’s now only “one thumb up Brown” these days. He probably can’t get two years worth of fondling off the other.

  • Len Brown – 3 Years until he’s just another Rapist.

  • OT Richter

If you could have sat down with Len and asked him one question, what would it be?

Mine would be “What do you see when you look in the mirror?”

    • Statehousekid

      How is the harem going?

  • Mr_Blobby

2 Questions 1. Did he pay for the coffee? 2. Was the waitress or owner Asian and female?

  • williamabong

The longer he’s there the lamer the duck gets, when a few of his voters have spat at his feet and called him a cunt to his face the message may start to get through.
Perhaps it’s time MSM approached the mayoress for a comment.

    • Cowgirl

His facebook page is getting quite a few people saying things along those lines – and I would have trouble restraining myself if I saw him in public. Businesses have also started posting adverts ridiculing him on there – I think when businesses are having a laugh at your expense and getting mileage off it, then you would have to think about resigning right?

      • Kopua Cowboy

Maybe he’s been talking to Clint, who has assured him “All publicity is good publicity!”

    • Mr_Blobby

Surprised that they haven’t hounded Palinos girlfriends, sisters best friend from school on what she knows about the set up of poor Lenny.

      • Cowgirl

They probably will after tomorrow night – Bevan Chuang ‘exclusive’ on Sunday programme. Groan. I want other women with no connection to Palino to come forward so that the media has to admit that LBIAFC, and can no longer be excused.

        • Mr_Blobby

I doubt very much if she could fuck it up any more than she already has, but who knows.

She will probably make it look like it was all her fault, that she seduced the poor man and it really wasn’t his fault. blah blah blah

    • Tom

I did pretty much just that a few years ago at the Grey Lynn festival when he was campaigning the first time around. Asked me if he could count on my vote, told he he was dreaming! Ten minutes later he’s on stage trying to rap or something while 5000 people just watched open-mouthed or openly sniggering

He really is from a different planet.

      • Dave

Planet Red Labour, very very different. I suspect Len would like to go, but the puppet masters have said NO, he must stay, as they know if he goes, they wont get another red in the bed Labour mayor for at least 6 years.

  • I had better prepare those I know working at other Coffee Clubs

    • andrew carrot

Rig your eft-pos machines up to a large, flashing dot matrix sign that, along with a loud siren, advises other customers that Len’s transaction has been cancelled due to lack of funds, even it hasn’t. And if he pays with cash, make sure customers see staff holding the notes up to the light.

  • timemagazine

We should feel sorry for a man who seems to be in dire need for some psychiatric care. This is not anymore normal human behaviour. Obviously he is a troubled person.

  • kaykaybee

I’ve lost count of all the stories about the lascivious lech I’ve heard recently. Last one I heard was yesterday, apparently their young friend an air hostess was sitting on a flight to a new duty leg and was propositioned by her fellow passenger who very quickly got down to the business asking her “where she was going” and when he ascertained it was same destination asked to “meet up when we get there and see where it goes …..”. She was so “creeped out” by his old enough to be her Dad age, stunning audacity and the speed with which he moved in on her she went forward to galley, asked to be moved and asked the crew who he was.

    No prizes for correct guess.

    • Cowgirl

I don’t know how he’s going to be able to go the next 3 minutes – let alone the next 3 years – without trying to get his leg over some other young woman.

      • kaykaybee

When I read BC’s affadavit and saw her description of his MO, I recognised his eminence Lenny boy as one of life’s practiced players. You know that guy who fishes at every opportunity and always manages to at least foul hook the odd hungry or lame one. His new reel ’em in MO could be a martyred and misunderstood one – that deer in the headlights neediness has it’s appeal. ;)

        • Cowgirl

I have found the word I was looking for this morning – his behaviour is …pathological. He has a sense of entitlement that is so stunning in its audacity that I guess people just don’t know how to respond, some get reeled in and then – too late – realise they’ve been ‘had’ in more ways than one. This goes for financial matters too – I was present at Shed 10 when someone told us that Len had rocked up to the table selling the lucky red socks and demanded a pair without paying. The Sir Peter Blake Trust is a charity right?

He must have a way of phrasing things that people think they can’t say no or he keeps the proposition vague enough, that he can just wave it away as a ‘misunderstanding’ if they take exception to it.

          • Reid

Just google ‘narcissistic personality disorder’ and it’s Len to a t, both before, during and after his misadventures.

The biggest tell for me on this diagnosis is not what he did but the way he has acted after by his abject failure to recognise the consequences and the impacts it has had. These actions taken together illustrate a profound lack of empathy which is not merely undesirable but in fact very dangerous to have such a person in a political role such as he holds.

    • Honki

umm ….. did he have his hands under the blanket?

      • …only for a couple of minutes

  • Bart67

Right, team effort, here are the lyrics, I need musicians, backing vocalists and a location shoot, let’s take this shit VIRAL!

Well the office of the Mayor
It looks out upon Auckland Town
    And if you’re Asian there
    You’d better just beware
Of the man called Leonard Brown

    Now’s Leonards in some trouble
And he stands about five foot two
All the Asian Ladies call him when they want a favour
All the men just say “Len who”?

And he’s sad, sad Leonard Brown
The saddest man in the whole damn town
The author of his own doom
    In the Ngati Whatua Room!

    Now Leonard, he’s a christian
And he says he’s a family man
But on the side was screwing Bevan Chuang
And anyone else that he can.

He got a closet full of secrets
He got himself a free hotel room
He got the nerve to say that it’s private
But it’s going to end him soon

And he’s sad, sad Leonard Brown
The saddest man in the whole damn town
He thinks he can beat this thing
But where’s his missus wedding ring?

Well it was after the election.
    Leonard won the race
    And at the victory party
    He was smiling and happy
    With that silly, goofy face.

But he was casual with protection
    And the trouble soon began
    Because Bevan got an STD
And then the story got to Cam!

And he’s sad, sad Leonard Brown
The saddest man in the whole damned town
    Sadder than he’s ever been
Now his true nature has been seen,

The Spin Doctors took to spinnin’
And when the spinnin all was done.
Leonard looked like a lame duck mayor
And the spin doctors were all gone

And he’s sad, sad Leonard Brown
The saddest man in the whole damn town
It’s so sad that he is hanging on
But this saga has gone on too long.

Yeah it’s the saddest thing about this song
It’s that the idiot hasn’t gone!

    • Sponge

      Superb!

    • Bunswalla

      You win the Internet

What’s happened to the promise to spend more time with the wife and family?

    • Cowgirl

He could have used all that time he spent getting his end away for the last 2 years or so.

    • Reid

If you had a husband like him would you want to spend more time with him?

      • dyannt

Firstly, I wouldn’t have an affair with a married man, and then think about marrying him.
And I’m old-fashioned enough to want my bloke taller than me.

  • Honki

a has-been enjoying coffee beans. pathetic little lefty.

  • SJ00

Wait… Len Brown has a driver? I always thought he caught the train to work.. or is that just something he makes other people do (maybe he wants people on trains so he can get to work quicker). I’m really starting to feel sorry for you poor Aucklanders.

Someone needs to be talking to the driver about stuff. My god he must have *all* the dirt on Pantsdown Brown.

    • Steve (North Shore)

He caught the train once. The Mayoral vehicle took him from his residence to the closest train station, then it went up the motorway into Auckland city and picked Len up at the Brittomart Station and took him to his office.

      • SJ00

That is brilliant. Why didn’t he just stay in the fucking car the whole way!

  • BJ

I reckon he came sniffing around Cameron’s neighbourhood on purpose to be challenging

  • pukakidon

What a Two Minute Noodle, Brown is.

  • pukakidon

Best thing to do for scum like this is to walk up to his table drop your guts at the level of his face and walk off. That is all he is worth and he has been shitting on the Auckland Rate payer for long enough.

  • Dave

Why does he need a driver, he cancels most of his meetings and appearances now. Perhaps he now uses the Mayoral Limo as a place to meet his mistress’s Better get a spy cam in the Limo – We are watching Lying Len

  • conwaycaptain

If Len was ousted as Mayor and Shan divorced him he would be in le merde.
No one in their right mind would employ him and half the estate would go to Shan.

  • disqus_cTYPCkCVDM

Rodney writes in the Herald on Sunday.
And it is absolutely true. Maybe Rodney should be appointed Editor in Chief.
And Rodney sure knows what goes on in Government, local and otherwise.
Brown’s problem is that he actually thinks he is even a greater person than the sum of his “parts” and we all know he isn’t.
Many Aucklanders in fact would probably relish his attempts to carry on as Mayor as it will certainly give us all a huge amount of entertainment for the next 3 years. He is not imperishable. He is also certainly not incorruptible as we know very clearly from the threatening texts and the wide and totally inappropriate distribution of the burlesque images prior to the elections to neutralise his concubine’s torpedo.

  • Michael J Wood

The issue is self promotion and the needy desire for validation – Len face up to it you’re a busted flush – resign with what little dignity you have left – whoops is’t that an oxymoron ?
