Two wrongs don’t make a right, clean up all our water

One excuse that bludging ratbag farmers use for allowing their cows to shit in the rivers and waterways is that towns are discharging effluent too and so therefore under the kindergarten logic they use they should be allowed to continue to pollute our waterways.

Here is one such example.

This of course is a rubbish excuse. All polluters should be chased equally as hard…town polluters just as much as rural polluters.

Of course the tweeter above also misses the point that all the water in the Hauraki District Council areas comes from rivers that have flowed through farmland.

It still doesn’t take away the necessity for councils to get serious on water quality for all of us.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
