Does Colin Craig believe in this?

A real conundrum for Colin Craig…is this a real Big Foot that has ben shot?

video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsvideo player

Though self-proclaimed Bigfoot hunter Rick Dyer claims he shot the mythical beast on Sept. 6, 2012, he hasn’t been able to provide any proof—until now.

Last week Dyer said he was finally able to reclaim the body from investors and released photos of a hairy-faced monster he claims prove his story. He’s already let over 100 people see the body up close and filmed their reactions, but told San Antonio ABC affiliate KSAT he plans to hold a news conference where he’ll display the body and release the test results. After that, he hopes to take the body on a nationwide tour.

“I have been worried for so long. I have been put off for so long, and finally we went up to Washington (state) and we got the body,” Dyer said. “Every test that you can possibly imagine was performed on this body—from DNA tests to 3D optical scans to body scans. It is the real deal. It’s Bigfoot and Bigfoot’s here, and I shot it and now I’m proving it to the world.”

Dyer claimed he baited Bigfoot with $200 worth of ribs before trapping and killing it near San Antonio, Texas. He even produced an amateur film titled “Shooting Bigfoot,” but the footage failed to convince skeptics he manufactured anything but a hoax—something Dyer has created in the past. But he said he’s not fooling around this time.

“Bigfoot is not a tooth fairy—Bigfoot is real,” Dyer said. “The most important thing to me is being vindicated, letting people know that I am the best Bigfoot tracker in the world and it’s not just me saying it.”

    Colin Craig bashing time again?
The ‘main stream media’ and political establishment couldn’t possibly be making up stories and fabricating controversies.
Nah, they only use facts to report the ‘news’.

    • Ronnie Chow

To use an analogy , Craig is feeling his way around the political room with the lights off . If he’s so smart and successful , why can’t he figure out his campaign?.

  • dilligaf2013

As the voice over said “despite a past history of hoaxes, he insiists he’s not fooling around this time” FFS – maybe he also thinks that Pants Down Brown is a great role model like Nutbar Chuang……………..?

  • kaykaybee

Did you see the chemtrails in the background??

  • Jimmie

A pity he shot him…..he could have been the next parachute Labour party leader come November

    • Blokeintakapuna

or shave him and replace Len with him…

  • LesleyNZ

Stop it. Susan Wood interviewed Colin Craig yesterday. He sounded Ok. Just has to change the anti-asset sale policy.

    • Night Stick

I heard that interview too and I couldn’t detect any ‘craziness’. I don’t think he will be a puppet in a National coalition, if that situation eventuates.

      • Other_Andy

“Colin Craig is a millionaire who owns companies that manage high-rise buildings. The largest of these is Centurion Management Services, which has grown from being a “one man band” to a large employer. His current company manages about $1.3 billion of assets.”

Sounds like a loser and a nutcase to me.
Can’t have successful people that have worked and succeeded in the real world in politics now, can we?
Makes most of the current troughers look bad.

        • Macca

I’m with you on this OA. Getting sick to death of the Craig bashers – it’s a very left thing to do! The media will be going out of their way to ridicule this guy this year as he is a major threat to their beloved left – the same way they went after Hyde, Banks and Dunne.
Given the choice of Greens, Mana, Winston, Dunne holding the balance – I sure as fuck know who I’d rather have!

          • cows4me

Dead right Macca, the left a filling their pants, their dreams of a totalitarian dictatorship are down the shitter if Craig crosses the line. I love how they ridicule him, these same bastards believe the world is heating up and we are all doomed despite the evidence that no heating is occurring.

        • Ronnie Chow

Craig has made gaffe after gaffe , and you are saying he’s qualified to represent an electorate ?
Dennis Rodman has worked and succeeded in the real world too .

          • justin

I’ll bite Ronnie. Give me three examples please (be specific as the left MSM have twisted lots of what Colin has said).

          • Bunswalla

I hope you’re not holding your breath, J.

          • justin

Not holding breath Bunswalla… Colin, like all pollies, will stuff up. But he like many National party politicians are self made individuals, Colin doesn’t need politics (unlike the left).

          • Bunswalla

I agree – I meant Ronnie won’t find three examples of “gaffes” unless he counts the constant baiting by Cameron and lefty media types such as Marcus Lush. Craig is a bit too earnest for his own good and needs to develop a better sense of when he’s being wound up, which he will certainly do as he’s a smart guy. I’ve worked out why Cam’s under-mining him and I don’t agree with the strategy or the tactics.

          • Ronnie Chow

Craig is completly underwater when talking to the media .
Rule number 1 is ‘Do not answer the question’.

Craig is out there telling all and sundry that he has looked at other women with lusty thoughts , FFS .
He thinks the media sharks are conducting some sort of group therapy . Gumby .

          • Bunswalla

There’s no question Craig needs to sharpen up a bit – I said he was too earnest for his own good and he was certainly naive in 2013. Now we’re in 2014 and let’s see what happens.

            Re your “gaffes” –
            1. Accurate and sensible – no gaffe #RonnieFail
            2. Definite gaffe – no question #RonnieRocks
3 (sorry you don’t get two goes at no 3 – no back-ups). He’s just being honest, and needs to learn how to duck those questions or turn them around. I’ve looked with lust upon a woman who’s not my wife, and I’m happily married for 25 years. Why would you lie about it? There are more people that will give him credit for being honest than those that would knock him for not being quick enough to duck it. Or would you have him lie about it?

          • Ronnie Chow

            1. Accurate and sensible – no gaffe #RonnieFail

Yes , so sensible . People wear alcohol consumption monitors which allow the gummint to tax the heavy drinkers at a greater rate , reducing the tax burden on the light drinkers . But , the heavy drinkers get a tax rebate if they don’t get sick . You writing for The Onion , Bunswalla ?.

          • Bunswalla

The Civilian – thought you’d be onto it by now. #Ronnieabitslowtoday

          • Ronnie Chow

Now , about that “taxpayers are subsidizing heavy drinkers” bit, where are we ? Social drinkers should subsidize heavy drinkers by paying more excise tax ? Aren’t social drinkers taxpayers ?.

          • Bunswalla

Ronnie did you hear Craig stating that people should wear alcohol monitors and report to a gummint measuring station every day, or did you just pull that one out your backside?

My understanding is that Craig said he would raise the excise tax on alcohol – I guess much like successive governments have done for tobacco for decades. Or are you suggesting that alcohol does no harm, not even for heavy drinkers? Do you think the only harm heavy drinkers can suffer is to “get sick”?

          • Dan

Your pink slip is starting show Ronnie. At what point does a new kid on the block get to make the odd goof? I would rather have Craig trip over his lips occasionally than vote for anti smacking, and ETS, higher taxes and gay marriage.

          • IWantToBeLikeMallardOneDay

            Why is Cam undermining him?

          • Bunswalla

The Conservatives are to the right of both National and Act, so Craig will only take from National’s voter base. National needs someone that can take votes from the Centre, not the Right.

          • And as the tumbleweed rolls across my screen, that leaves…….nobody.

          • Dan

Its a Nat internal leadership struggle thing.

          • Ronnie Chow

“Colin doesn’t need politics” . But his ego does .

          • Ronnie Chow

I’ll bite . Tell us how making money qualifies Craig to serve the people ?.

          • Ronnie Chow

1/ “Colin Craig: At the moment it [alcohol] is subsidised, so all of us put a little bit of money into the pot to subsidise the heavy drinkers. Well, I think the heavy drinkers should pay for themselves.”
2/His threat to sue a satirical website that ran a spoof story.
3a/Right. So, does that mean you have looked with lust upon a person other than your wife?.
“Well, gosh, Yeah, I probably have. It would be silly to say that I haven’t.”
3b/ “That’s not what I’m saying. The question is whether you might have something in your bottom drawer – comparable to charter schools – that the public suddenly find they’ve empowered you to pursue, but only when you spring it on them, post-election.”
“Oh, I see. No. We haven’t got anything like that.”

Craig argues that his gaffes have been deliberate, and all part of a cunning strategy to gain media attention. Which I would say is bullshit . He’s just a deer in the spotlight.
But if he states that, and you,Justin, challenge that not even three examples exist, where does that leave us?.

          • phronesis

1/ In reference to heavy drinkers it is highly unlikely that the excise tax paid on the booze is sufficient to cover the social / health costs of heavy drinking.
2/ He has clearly heard of the Streisand effect. That was a cunning strategy to gain media attention and probably ran well with his likely voters.
3/ So when asked if he has any unpopular policies he intends to pursue after the election without having openly campaigned on them he says no.

I won’t be voting for him but don’t pretend he isn’t the only realistic second choice in NZ politics at the moment.

          • Ronnie Chow

1/ This is an impossibly weak position to take.

If the line of social responsibility for every product extends to final outcomes , then the manufacturers of every product from meths to bullets to butter could be held liable for the social and health costs down the track .

            Untenable,impossible,unfeasible,irrational . A Gaffe.

          • Night Stick

Is that why Selwyn Manning doesn’t like Craig?

          • He didn’t succeed in the real world, he was just good at basketball. And rooted Carmen Electra for a bit.

          • Ronnie Chow

The real world is money and celebrities , hillbilly’s and bullshit.
Our world can barely elect John Key .

        • Ronnie Chow

What’s a millionaire mean these days anyway ?
Care to guess how many there are in Auckland now eligible to enter politics under your warped criteria ? Are we in Hong Kong , where money talks ?
Ooh , Colin is rich , therefore must be clever and able to govern people . He isn’t . He foolishly believes that being honest to the media is some sort of election strategy . He needs a good kick up the arse .

    • Why does he have to change it? Come the next election it’s not going to matter 2 hoots to the voters.

      • LesleyNZ

Because I think he is wrong.

        • You may think he’s wrong, but nobody is going to care at the next election. This asset sales malarkey will have died a natural death. People will be focusing on the more important issues, not last elections key issues.

And the only ones flogging the bejeezuz out of the partial asset sales is the Greens and Labour, neither of whom Craig is likely to get votes from. Quite frankly I think people are growing tired of it and sick of hearing about it.

          • LesleyNZ

            Hope so Travis.

          • Just a bit of constrictive criticism, but due to my observations I feel you often fall into the trap of being a single issue voter (like the gay marriage) Lesley, which is counter productive in the broader scheme of things. Rather than focus on the one thing you don’t like, focus on the many things you do like.

It won’t matter who you vote for, as all of them will most likely have a policy you don’t like, and some of them are changed post election anyway.

  • thecard

I don’t like Darien Fenton’s politics but i’m not happy that someone’s gone and shot her

  • Other_Andy

Anybody heard from Metiria Turei lately….?

    • Night Stick

‘While traveling, Voyager is caught in a subspace corridor, filled
with spaceship debris nearly 900 years old. They encounter a vessel
travelling in the corridor of the Turei race, who help to knock Voyager out of the corridor into normal space.’

Metiria and Star Trek are one.

      • Wine Man

I do miss Star Trek on Tele..ahhhhhhhhhh

        • Night Stick

          Warp speed, warp speed…..

    • Alfred12

      Or Wussel or Len?

    • ropteron

      Meteria is all twerked out.

  • Jimmie

What happens if the DNA proves to be human? Will he get done for murder?

  • Rodger T

Looks like the prick shot Santa to me.

    • tarkwin

That explains the wash out at my place back on the 25th. Happy new year everyone.

  • Garbageman

I wasted 15 mins of my life watching that program on Sky, bunch of nuts running round yelling Squatch and Shhhh did u hear that etc, bet its a fake to keep the advertisers on board

    • ropteron

Yes Garbage, I watched that and fantasized about being dressed up in a Yeti suit and rushing those bastards in the dark with their GoPro cameras facing back, give them something to scream about!!

  • Patrick

WO time to get over it & stop your childish schoolboy attacks on CC. The reality is he will play a part in the next election. If you want to attack his policies then by all means go for it, if you want to attack his personal life then as long as the facts stack up & they are relevant to the voters then go for it. Right now you are behaving far worse than anyone in the MSM with your infantile attempts to smear CC’s name.

    • ropteron

I just assumed he was doing it to stimulate debate.

      • Night Stick

I think that is the reason actually, because I don’t think WO actually wants Lab/Gr/Ma to take the election.

    • justin

Yep classic playing the man not the ball. Hell Whale professes today that he believes in God, where is his *evidence*.
But the over play of theories at the exclusion of policy is just pure character assassination.

      • justin

Time WOBH acted like a main stream media organization and invited Colin in for a interview or guest post.

        • Dan

I agree. Talking to him first hand would be helpful.

  • lewis5450

Hehe..i suspect craig and key are laughing all the way to the ballot box…who now has never heard of the conservatives and its high profile leader?

    • Night Stick

Yes, there is nothing like publicity. Yet if Craig gets walloped from not only MSM but on WO as well, then he may well be irreparably damaged.
