Celebrations began?Friday?in China to welcome the Year of the Horse.

The official seven-day holiday is marked by parades, prayers ? and usually pyrotechnics. Certainly there were celebrations yesterday at Northcote, but watching the video of Len Brown again got me thinking…why was he so enthusiastic about the Year of the Horse?

The Herald reported his comments:

“Anything to do with horses, man, I’m totally in it. We’re galloping along as a city so look out.”

Here is he video:

No one except Winston Peters is that keen on horses and then I twigged.

Len Brown actually thinks this is the Year of the Whores. What he actually said was “2014 fresh start into it in The Year of theWhores,?Anything to do with Whores, man, I’m totally in it. We’re galloping along as a city so look out.”

Perhaps he was watching the BBC in order to form his view.?Things may have got a bit lost in translation according to one unfortunate caption on BBC News.

Then again perhaps Len Brown genuinely believes it actually is the Year of the Whores…he has been telling us it is business as usual. I wonder if we will be seeing a whole heap of new brothels to show Auckland’s commitment tot he Year of the Whores.
