Goats on Trees in Morocco

Morocco is the probably only country in the world where goats graze not on the land,  but on trees. This happens because of an acute shortage of grass.

Goats climb on the argani trees growing there, where they feed on foliage and fruit. The shepherd’s task, as a rule, is not only driving the goats from tree to tree and control herds, but also to collect the seeds from the argani fruits, which are spit out by the goats. They are used in production of valuable argani oil used in cosmetics and cooking.
