Internet Mana candidate Georgina Beyer has had the scales lifted from her eyes and has seen Kim Dotcom for who he really is.

She has said that he is pulling the strings and is in politics for all the wrong reasons – including revenge.

Internet Mana’s the party that’s big on going big – big names, big productions, big personalities. But now it seems it’s got big problems too.

“Who is pulling the strings? Well, the big man himself,” says Ms Beyer.

Ms Beyer, a former Labour MP and New Zealand’s first transgender MP, is Mana’s candidate in the southern Maori seat of Te Tai Tonga.

She believes Dotcom is tearing her party apart.

“His reasons for becoming involved in New Zealand politics in the way he has is one of retribution against people who he feels have slighted him,” says Ms Beyer.

It’s the latest in a string of speed wobbles for the merged party. There was press secretary Pam Corkery’s mega blowout at the media, then leader Hone Harawira made headlines when he became angry at questions from 3 News about his U-turn over decriminalising cannabis, since merging with the Internet Party.

There are also divisions over the flagship job policy, with Mr Harawira wanting one thing and Internet Party leader Laila Harre announcing another.

Can Laila Harre hold the ship of the damned together long enough so that a united front can be presented to the voting public?

More importantly, can the Puppet Master Kim Dotcom stop any more of his puppets from cutting their strings?
