Giovanni Tiso All Class In Losing Again

I don’t think Mark Reynolds is much of a Whaleoil fan, which makes this exchange of hate from Sillyvani Tiso even funnier.

How did this Italian “intellectual” end up in NZ???

    • MoggieManiac

He hasn’t been able to find the airport to get out.

    • Aucky

You mean Aotearoa/New Zealand (his words not mine) ?

  • That makes the day a whole lot better. Not only is it great to see a multi-award-winning blogger get further recognition, but watching lefties get all bitter, twisted and bent out of shape is such fun…

  • john Doe

That exchange of words made me laugh out loud. Tisco has come from obscurity to delve deep into the mud where he can now wallow in public.

  • Tiso should try sucking a few lemons to help try and sweeten himself up.

The only thing better than a sore loser is a really sore loser demonstrating it all over social media for all to see.

  • flutterby

Judging by the lack of comments on Giovanni Tiso’s site there’s zilch competition there! The titles were enough to bring on a snore!

    • Justsayn

I’m rushing off to read “Wishing upon a star: solidarity, real and imagined”… that sounds like a real scroller and I can see it attracted a comment.

  • MoggieManiac

Thanks for sharing that little conversation.
It’s wonderful to watch how some people react to slights against their egos.

  • Justsayn

I have no idea who Tiso is. I don’t really care. I don’t care what he thinks about anything. He, and his opinions, don’t matter to me at all. In that regard I seem to be among about 98% of people in NZ. Maybe higher.

Mr Tiso (I’m very sure you’ll read this post): You have the right to express your views, but you don’t have the right to be taken seriously.

[yes… I realise the irony of this comment :-)]

  • Bartman

Crystal chin Tiso blocked me on Twitter a while ago, used the same language and articulate manner, Little wonder he’s a blogger of no consequence, he’s blocked most of his audience!

  • CheesyEarWax

Twisted Tiso is more popular on this blog than on his own. He should ask for a share of ad revenue.

    • andrew carrot

Pay him with old fashioned lira – totally worthless.

  • Embeeare

Dear Cam and mods, please, please update this section all day! I have already wasted enough time this morning looking for the haters comments to start my day with some humour. I’d really like to be able to work and laugh at the same time so PLEASE keep them coming!

  • edee

Have a Merry Christmas tiso …. whoever you are.

  • Nugog

That is beautiful. I always love watching impotent rage playing out in “social” media.

  • Ratchette

Tiso, my advice to you – concentrate on selling ice cream you just might be good at it.

    • Odd Ball

Not with that attitude,he wouldn’t, he would scare the kids!

    • andrew carrot

Participating in commerce?!! Could he be so hypocritical? I’m certain he firmly believes that dairy products, sugar, maybe even crushed ice, will lead to the downfall of society. Manic socialists apply that logic to all things.

    • Dave

Better still, he could go back to his heritage, ask his family for the Gelato recipie, make it everynight slaving over his kitchen stove, then try selling and delivering it by day. That way the world would be forever grateful, he would have no time left for Twitter or Bogging!

  • Eiselmann

Amazing how the so called ‘champions’ of the masses always crave recognition and when the masses speak and reject the ‘champions’ , they react in anger normally on the same level as a misbehaving and over indulged toddler .
Tiso would have been an ideal politburo member…all about equality for the people , just more equality for himself. Life must be tough for him living in a world where effort industry and talent are rewarded …his blog even ignoring his views ,is a joke, it has all the hallmarks of being an occasional hobby rather than a serious avenue to express and promote his worldview(as scary as it is)

    • spanishbride

I LOVE his quote in The Herald where he says popularity is no measure of quality. Using that yardstick, the fact that no one visits his Blog must mean that he is the best quality writer in the Blogosphere LOL

      • LesleyNZ

I can’t believe the NZ Herald would employ him when he tweets such childish rudeness to someone he doesn’t know. But then again the professional standards at the NZ Herald have dropped significantly in the past few years.

        • spanishbride

To be fair they DID win Best News site at the awards last night. I hope they cherish that award because they may not hold it much longer, not if FREED has anything to do with it :)

          • LesleyNZ

That is what is really bugging them deep down and I wonder if this is why the paywall didn’t happen pre election time.

      • Dave

So, running that yardstick of the Heralds paid circulation figures over the last 5 years, and then the “quality” aspects, will produce a graph like a rock off a cliff! Perhaps they should remember the quote about stones and glasshouses!

      • Isherman

I loved the fact that the only line that had any impact in any sense, was the line you mention, and that was a borrowed line.(without credit) I would think that the would be scribe of the Marxist Intelligensia should have his own lines that we are supposed to quote him on by now, guess not.

  • cows4me

Tiso should join forces with PhilU , they could post complimentary comments on each others posts.

  • spanishbride

Giovanni is a serious blogger in much the same way Rachel Smalley is a serious journalist. He has put so much time and energy into trying to take Cam down I admit to taking pleasure in mocking him gently. Can you tell which face is his?

    • Chris EM

Not the one with the full head of hair.

    • Perhaps we should call him the Fiat 500 of the New Zealand blogosphere, whilst WO is the Ferrari…

      • andrew carrot

Maybe WO is better compared with something a little bit more ‘comfortable’ in shape – a Maserati Quattroporte, for instance

    • RM

He actually reminds me of another Italian – same face shape and male pattern balding

    • Dave

To be fair to both subjects in the picture SB: The handsome one on the right might not control a twitter account, and certainly lacks a university education and several degrees, but seems perfectly happy, balanced and is keen to greet people without hatred, then there is the one on the left. Yes, I follow him on twitter just to remind me how someone can actually be so bitter and twisted and upset at the very mention of WO.

    • Groinpiece

SB, you got the wrong end of the dog!

  • Richard

So, I can only assume that Tiso knows the penis size of everyone he actually does know?
    Mmmmm…explains quite a lot I guess.

Edit: Maybe he struggles to measure up in every sense.

  • Rusty B

That twitter exchange made my day…Classic sore loser…Nah, just LOSER !!
    Well said below to SB,

  • Crookednose

I’ve had a wee look at his blog and twitter posts due to curiosity from being on here.
His high opinion on his presence & influence is rather inflated to say the least. He likes to think he should be consulted on everything.
But I’m puzzled. What does he actually do?
I Probably haven’t helped his mood by tweeting him a pic of Cam’s award…

    • Dave

He tweets every few minutes, either replying to someone or tweeting what is on his mind, its mostly putting someone down, and left of left. As a foriegner he forgets he is but a guest in NZ, frankly his views are frightening!

  • LesleyNZ

Don’t know much about this Sillyvani aka Giovanni Tiso so I checked out Wikipedia. I couldn’t find a page for Sillyvani Tiso. Says we can ask for it to be created.
Maybe it is timely to update the Wiki page?

  • kayaker

Tiso always looks like a very sad person.

    • andrew carrot

      Most Italian communists do

    • Chris Chitens

      He is the sad man!

  • maninblack

Haha Tiso you sour faced loser. Loser loser loser on so many levels.

  • Groinpiece

What a sad nasty piece of work he is. God forbid if I were to be such a misery guts.

  • 40something

Comedy gold – real tears of laughter, you can’t make this stuff up.

  • R&BAvenger

I think the message below says it all…..

  • JustanObserver

It just seems there is no ‘Lower-Level’ of the vitriol and spite of the Left.
And in their minds, they are ‘Fighting the Good Fight’, so all is fair.
    … Genuinely Pathetic.

  • I can’t help feel he engages his faux-intelletual proclamations because tears of impotent rage, and I’m always reminded of this when his name is mentioned.

  • Chiefsfan73

  • Chiefsfan73

    Great post

  • flutterby

Congratulations to all involved in Whaleoil Blog site the greatest news outlet in NZ. My first go-to site every morning to get unbiased, thoughtful, and straight shooting information. Pity there is no webcam/cctv facility to take revealing images of all the hypocritical people including Tiso taking ‘sneak peeks’ at this site last night, today
and every day. But we don’t need it because we know condemners and haters can’t resist the urge to check out the latest news on the 2013/14 Best Blog Site.

  • gambler

Fantastic CV.. Your hired!!! Report to Freed 1st thing Monday morning for training (not that u need it)

  • Disinfectant

Never heard of the bloke until I started reading W.O..

    • Isherman

Don’t panic, you haven’t missed anything by him that’s worth the time to look up…trust me. Only good for a laugh over things like this really.

  • Halcyon

Judging by the quality of his Doctoral Thesis I am surprised he can string two words together that make sense in the real world.

  • Kiwikea

Kind of unusual that he sits there imagining parts of the male anatomy….

  • Jenny from the Block

Politics brings out the best in people doesn’t it ?
I can’t help thinking that if everyone wasn’t so nasty it might be easier to come to agreement, like kids throwing sand, after a while it becomes hard to see who the enemy is.
